one way flights into China
Hey guys
I just got a 90 day F visa here in Canada but I'm hoping to switch that to a Z later and stay in China much longer than the 90 days, does anyone know for sure the rules on entering China on a one way ticket? I've read both you can and you can't, maybe it depends on what visa type you have?
any information would be appreciated
Cheers

At some embassies/ consulates (or during some special periods), when you apply for the visas, air tickets are required. But after you get the visas, nobody cares about your return tickets.
After you come to China, you can have your F visa extended for another 6 months or 12 months (The 12-month is calcualted from your last entry date).
If you are officially employed by a company registered in China mainland, you can apply for the 1-year work visa. The work visa is renewable annually.
Please refer to the link below for more details about work visa application.

At present, in Beijing at least, original bachelor degree certificate and 2-year work reference letter are required to apply for a work visa.
If you prefer to work in Beijing, you'd better carry the two documents with you.

I originally came here on a 30-day tourist visa and had a one-way ticket.
So you shouldn't have a problem, unless, of course, the laws have changed, which do happen frequently.

like how much longer?
ur F visa can be extended 6/12 months.
it shouldnt be any problem for you to stay longer.
if you want to stay more than 2 years straight without leaving China. then get a job let your employer do Z visa for you.
