Douchebag of the Week 2/16/2010 - Hong Kong and The Westin Brunch

Douche Blog 2/16/2010

We took a break during the holiday, as we went to Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangzhou

We were relieved to see fewer douches in HK and Macau. Perhaps since it was a British colony there is more of a family presence there. Frequently the majority of expats we saw where with their families rather than younger women. The only exception was Lockhart Street. A dive bar street, where at yes 11 AM we saw people dragging their feet out of clubs. If you want to get turned off of ‘sleazing’ than I suggest going to that street mid-day and watching the Asian strippers sitting on the street having each other do their makeup to ridiculous amounts, and also seeing how unattractive they actually are in the light of day. All that makeup and paint may be good in a darkly lit club, but in the sun you can definitely see how worn and torn and aged they are. The men in that street also seemed to dress like Harley bike riders, and the whole street had a vibe of skank and biker gang. Even the ragged girls dressed in more “woggy-euro trash-biker chick”- style.

When we returned to Beijing, one of the first douche experiences we had was actually on V-Day at the Westin Bubbalicious Brunch. It was our first time there, and we were surprised first of all by the over lack of quality in their seafood and meats, and at the douches there. The Westin has become a sort of rite of passage for those who have ”made it”. Definitely, the Westin’s brunch is the place to be seen. Be forewarned, the guests dress up and stare and compare at each other (men and women, and they really size you up and down).
However, once you get passed that, the brunch becomes an enjoyable and glutton experience.

Lip you're at a different stage in life to the people you've mentioned in your boast....sorry, post.

It seems you are the one staring and comparing.

Doesn't it amaze you that week after week you continue to surround yourself with f***heads?
Doesn't it strike you that there must be a common denominator?

These same people you despise keep going to the same places as you. They are interested in the same things as you. They eat the same type of food a you.

For you to post this sh*t I would suggest it's you who has the problem.
Get off you pedestal you annoying c**t and start living real Beijing life.

Sometimes the same is different, but mostly, it's the same.

Re: Douchebag of the Week 2/16/2010 - Hong Kong and The ...

Its all about what you are looking for as "quality of life", the first thing to understand is to make the most of what you've got, not what others have... then try and expand on it a bit.

If you treat wealthy, rich and less moneyed people the same, you start making more friends as well.

Re: Douchebag of the Week 2/16/2010 - Hong Kong and The ...

Macau isn't a British colony it is Portuguese.

All you show, Lip3, apart from your stupidity is that you are in a reasonably early stage of culture shock.

Going to Jenny Lou's is a bad enough experience for me.

I just don't really hang out where foreigners do.

Why would you? This is China.

Re: Douchebag of the Week 2/16/2010 - Hong Kong and The ...

Lips, if you are going to take such a high tone at least use correct English!
Personally I would avoid you like a plague. You come across as a very insensitive, ignorant, arrogant individual with delusions of grandeur. This is probably due in large part to your insecurity caused by your fears that your husband is screwing all these alluring Chinese Sirens behind your back.

Men of all sorts take a pride to gird at me: the brain of this foolish-compounded clay, man, is not able to invent anything that tends to laughter, more than I invent or is invented on me.

Lip is a Chinese woman, isn't she?

And are you sure she has a husband? I think she uses the editorial "we" ie was actually on her own the whole time.

You could be right there!

FFS I'm sure she posts her novellas here because no one else can be f***ed listening to her whining...actually that probably covers 90% of the regular posters.

What's the Westin? How is it a rite of passage? And I say Tokyo, Toe-key-oh.

I love my planet Vulcan. I'm proud of being a Vulcan in the universe.

The Westin? which planet do you live on?

Satisfaction is the death of desire

I never ask people for ANYTHING because they always have NOTHING worth asking for.

Should be two syllables, not three:

To-kyo.

the "Douche" in "Douche Blog" refers to you right?

Trust me, it's so danger.

Re: Douchebag of the Week 2/16/2010 - Hong Kong and The ...

I've never heard the word "woggy" before.

I know "wog" has different meanings in different countries.

In the UK it's a pretty offensive word for a black person.

Re: Douchebag of the Week 2/16/2010 - Hong Kong and The ...

in aus it refers to italian or greek.

lets not forget that those "wragged girls" lip3 is slagging off are women predominantly from the phillipines (as they are in the area she describes) often whose only choice, is becoming a cleaner for HK$3.5k a month, or a prostitute for slightly more in countries like HK, despite having university degrees in computer science, engineering, architecture etc.

feel good lip3?

Trust me, it's so danger.

She is a pro journo?..never would have guessed it from her writing...full of misspellings and grammatical errors.

I would struggle to give her a B+ at most.
