Re: Online game

Re: Online game

Magic the Gathering Online, but you're gonna need some quids to buy boosters and stuff..

Re: Online game

I used to like playing online games, but I feel I never could keep going with it. I never understood how these WOW players can keep playing for years continuously.

Since this is a games thread, I will say I like to jump on "FOG" free online games . com site for the casual game or two.

Re: Online game

Well I'm going to state the obvious and say that Starcraft2 is the online game of the year.

Re: Online game

I've just been hooked on a free strategy game. It's a bit like Risk, but there's a variety of maps and a slightly different probability scheme. Click this link and play it! Do it! It's fun!
http://WarLight.net/?Token=bPq8mT7FaJxFU9u

If enough people sign up through that link, I can get a full membership that lets me start games with more than six people. With or without the membership, it's a great game that needs more players.

Re: Online game

does anyone of u wanna play starcraft2 over a lan-tool? or does anyone know how to play it online in beijing?

Re: Online game

..I play SC2, wanna try the LAN sometimes if there are groups.

Buy a legit game and you can play online, that's what I did.

Re: Online game

I play it on Euro servers, laggy as hell right now with all the internet raping thats happening with the GFW.

If you guys know of a good LAN tool that works, I'm all ears.

Also, this:

was in response to a deleted comment from some sock puppet that listed "StarWars" as one of their favourite online games.

Re: Online game

Re: Online game

I'm so done with Starcraft 2. I never really had a problem with lag when I played with my friends from home. I got all the achievements I could possibly get and...went right back to World of Warcraft. Tongue

I hear Diablo 3 is coming out next year, I dunno Yawn

I hear EVE is still fun? Kinda?

Really?
Wow.

So, for example you've had 1000 online victories with each race in 1v1 league matches?
You've had 800 free-for-all wins, and beat 4 "insane" level AI opponents at the same time?

That's impressive.

Re: Online game

No no no! Sorry, I meant all the ones I could possibly get at my skill level, not all the achievements possible. I am nowhere near that good or Korean Tongue I just kind of gave up on the other ones and was like, ok I'm done here.

I did get the Kerrigan portrait and all the campaign achievements, the Spectre portrait and a bunch of multiplayer achievements like the Hydralisk Marine portrait 5 streak etc. My best is like 50 wins with Terran or something? Tongue I dunno, I'm more of a WoW kind of girl I guess??

Re: Online game

Anyone play L4D2?

Blowing away zombies in a post apocalyptic holocaust/

it's got to be good for you.

But LAG-ahhhh! Keep getting kicked because by the time my shots arrive, the zombie I was shooting at has run away and I am now blasting my team member.

Re: Online game

Yes it's brilliant.

Haven't played in a while.

Which platform are you playing it on?

lol, my 7 and 9 year old daughters love watching me play. At first I wouldn't let them, but they are so desensitized these days to digital media they just don't see it as real so now I let them.

I asked my oldest after she watched me play the first time "So, what lessons have you learned? What should you do if you ever find yourself battling a hoard of zombies in a post apocalyptic holocaust?"

Her answer was spot on, "Grab a frying pan!"

Glad to hear that.
Kids are smart enough to know the difference between a CG zombie and real world violence. I wish western media would grow the f*** up about this.

Re: Online game

Before shitstorm I should probably add that I don't advocate children playing violent games in general, especially ones with adult themes.

But in the case of games so clearly in the realm of fantasy like L4D2, things are a little different.

Re: Online game

You might have missed my earlier post-

have you ever tried making your own campaigns/maps?

I am quite interested to try-seems like a big job though and might be better with a team working on it?

Re: Online game

I haven't tried that, to be honest I've never been great with map editors or SDKs that get released with games.

Sounds interesting though.

Re: Online game

There are a good series of tutorial videos for L4D which made it seem quite straight forward. It looks like most of the basic development is done with Google Sketchup, which is a piece of cake. Then you import the characters and so on.

We could do one set in BJ:-) Killer zombie taxi drivers.
