China Unicom 201 Prepay Internet
Can anyone explain this to me? I moved into my new apartment last week, and the landlord told me that the phone and the DSL connection is on a prepay service. From what I've figured out I have to go to the China Unicom shop and buy some 201 top-up cards.
The thing is, the landlord called up the ISP folks and set up a 2MBit line for me, he said it was 168RMB a month. I went to the Unicom store, bought 200RMB worth of cards (which I assumed would pay for the Internet and leave me with some money left over on the account). This Wednesday the internet goes down and I have to buy more cards.
So far, I've spent 400RMB in two weeks on the DSL line, which I'm pretty sure ain't right. What's this 168RMB per month charge and how do I pay it? Does anyone else use this type of service?

hmmm, maybe they charge you some setup fee?
maybe that monthly service doesn't charge from the day you use it,instead just from 1st day of the month, so you have to pay 2 month even for 2 weeks. my friends use that service too, pretty fair from what I known.
personal private vpn service.

You pay the 168 RMB monthly charge when you pay for your monthly phone bill
It gets added onto the bill automatically
Have no idea about the prepaid internet cards
Ring 10060 - they have a english operator service you can use - ask them what the f*** is going on
