yea,L visa can be extended for 3 months,but the price is higher than 1 month extension.

It's true that you can not extend L for 3 months if you go to PSB by your self, and you do not need to save certain amount of money in the bank(21.000rmb)for L 3 months. The processing time is just the same as L-1 extension,

Ok, so since I've posted this I've had some agents contact me with some absolutely ridiculous prices not worth a second thought.

So since I've only found the info about the 3 month extensions on this site, is it just a scam from agents promising what they can't get?

Why else would I not be able to do this myself at the PSB?

Has anyone actually done this and got a reasonable price?

Yes, you must use an agent to help you do L 3months extension, you can not do it yourself at PSB. Just like you can not do F extension yourself without help from a company.

L 3 months extension can be issued long time ago.
But i don't think the 3 months extension is better. Cause the cost is almost equal to the conversion from L to F for 3 months.
If you extend L for 3 months, you still have to prepare the bank account certificate ($3000 US Dollors).
But the conversion just need the registration of temporary residence and photo.
And also, you can renew your F visa for a longer period than L.

I've had a friend extend her F visa by herself at the PSB so I do not know what you mean by this. If you have all the documents then there is no problem, which is why I question the 3 month L extension. It's only when you rely on an agent for your F visa in the first place that you then need them to get you the extension.

But the 3 month extension can only be done once as I went today and they said I had to leave the country to do another 3 month extension is that true? And if you do a 1 month you can only do it twice

If you already extend L visa 3 month twice time,I think you just have to leave.If you already extend L1 month twice time,I can help you make a L 3 month extension..3 month only to make single entry

I have been told for 3,200 yuan an agent can extend a further 3 months but you can't do it yourself no one is providing any information as to why not .... after that you have to leave the country. So I guess someone is making money at our expense!!! the agents obviously have a 'special' arrangement with immigration?
