China Wants a War

China PLA officer urges challenging U.S. dominance

What they don't realize is that if they get the war they wish for they will have no victory to celebrate because there will be no world left to celebrate.

Re: China Wants a War

(I was able to click the link fine.)

First of all, have you SEEN the scrawny, wispy-moustached kids that make up China's supposedly fearsome military? THAT'S the army that's going to challenge what is by far and away the most powerful and well-funded military, the highly trained and experienced American forces? Laughing Let's not even talk about technology or political influence.

Second of all.... this is just one more idiotically nationalistic zealot. Granted, it's one with a bit of power and, regrettably, influence.... but let's not get carried away with the ramifications of his opinions.

Nevertheless, God have mercy on the world if they do actually attempt it.... and curse us all if they succeed.

Ive seen plenty of big bastard PLA here i wouldn't f*** with.
To be fair it was bit of shock, I thought all Chinese were scrawny good for nothing.

I also see pictures every day of American soldiers who look like they should be still at school and look like nerds and often think wft f*** they doing in battle.
If I was going to toss a coin to see who could take more sht I would put my money on the PLA soldiers because they ain't thinking about there cozy little life back home and got less to loose.

Im a f-ing Idiot.

Re: China Wants a War

(Link's ok for me now too; guess it was a momentary glitch.)

I totally agree with Zhenlai about the direction China's heading.

What takes the worry off a bit, though, is that they're using, well, Chinese-made equipment.

I mean, it doesn't matter how tough or well-prepared your soldiers are if their gear and weaponry is going to fail or blow up in their faces.

Re: China Wants a War

I actually used to live inside a PLA compound.

I wasn't supposed to, but the divorced wife of a PLA officer rented her apartment to me. After some difficulties they let me stay.

Anyway, every morning I'd watch those guys marching.

Seriously, it was like the Keystone Cops.

They'd bump into each other, turn the wrong way, drop their rifle.

I've seen better/more fearsome cheerleading squads.

Remmy be pimpin' in BJ, yo!

Re: China Wants a War

The big oversight they are making is that its not just the USA they'll have to fight against, it'll be literally scores of countries.

Then there's technology... a million rounds a minute anybody? and that's the toys we know about.

War sucks.... tell the general to make better quality Christmas lights, make us all smile!

Re: China Wants a War

America has better bullets!
China has more soldiers than the number of bullets America have.

Emm.. Thinking

I bet on America as I believe their bullet is very very well made and can kill more than one soldier each time....lol....

Seriously, a war between America and China is unimaginable !!

Re: China Wants a War

It's all kinda moot though, isn't it?

No matter HOW insecure chinese generals may be about their penis sizes, they can't escape the fact that their economy is highly dependent on the US.... almost as much as the US's economy is dependent on China.
The two need each other... and will for a long time to come. Yea yea, China's "trying to become self-reliant," but that's not gonna change things in the near future.

And let's face it, if China declares war on the US without just cause.... whom do you think the EU and remainder of the free world is going to side with?

Sometimes I feel it is maybe unbearable always be traditional Chinese girl.

Re: China Wants a War

Face it America been pissing about for past few years with 4th rate countries and thats like dragging on beyond belief, with there technological hardware, fancy marching and the rest of it.
Plenty of other countries involved there as well.
The only way they can take China down is doing what there doing now, try to cause China to implode politically by constantly hammering the propaganda.

Im a f-ing Idiot.

Re: China Wants a War

Decadence follows prosperity.

Decay follows decadence.

Apparently the future of the free world is in the hands of this generation.

A strong civilization demands a strong military. Always has.

MAD suggests no WWIII, although the constant drive to high tech weaponry in the Western hemisphere must be a cause for concern-clearly China regards it as our Achilles heal as they strive to develop weapons that target the enemies technology.

Wonder where the States would be if the Chinese developed a weapon that rendered everything with a micro chip useless with an EMP burst or something?

Ouch.

Re: China Wants a War

Probably no problem, most of their important stuff is cased in Faraday cages(EMP can't penetrate)as standard. The internet doesn't go anywhere near it, that's certain... so cyberwarfare remains in the news to remind readers where the threat is, that's why the Americans keep shouting "we've been hacked, we've been hacked" but the Chinese don't...

The systems are 'redundant'.

Depends on what you mean. If you mean having the US occupy China and turn it into a democracy, then yeah that would be tough.

If you mean just fight army to army then the US could definitely "take down China." It took out the Iraqi army in about 3 weeks and they were using a lot of the same equipment. Not to say the US could beat China in 3 weeks, but I have to give the edge to the US overall.

Re: China Wants a War

Thats why the Chinese general wants to build the army up and the US will do anything to prevent that.

I was just checking the defense spending budgets
http://www.globalfirepower.com/defense-spending-budget.asp
and surprised to see the UK up there.Just below China.

It's the only obvious way to get at the American forces though, and as the seesaw development of artillery and armour has shown over history, if someone invents a way to protect something, it's just a matter of time before someone else finds a way to penetrate it.

Re: China Wants a War

Look at Israel defense budget, way down the list, now you would think they would way up there from what you hear on TV, they actually got people on there doorstep.
Thats list is either screwed or there some serious misspending going on.

Yeah, who'd have thought the Yanks spend 18 times more on Audis and karaoke.

Re: China Wants a War

Pretty interesting stats-Thanks for the link Mr Tang.

So America spent about 500 billion in 2008 on the military.
China lent them 700 billion in 2009

Funny old world in'it

Sure it is! God, I have never thought about it this way...yep I know America spend a lot on the military and I also know China owns almost 25% of US Treasury Securities. When these 2 facts are linked together, it just sounds like China lend money to help America build its army......

lol......What a good idea! if China start a war with America, it means they have to write off 900 billion as bad debt in their accounting book... Thinking

Re: China Wants a War

It also means if China stops putting its money there US ain't got the funds for its Military Budget.
No Budget no Army.

Oh yea and it means they got all this spare money for there own Miitary budget to blow!

Re: China Wants a War

there's a difference between total war and and..."regime change"

everyone but the natives are fighting with kid gloves by comparison. hence, no carpet bombing, no nukes, making a big deal about civilian casualties, etc.

see how that works?

Re: China Wants a War

Of course Chinese males want a war.

But let's face it it would be a white wash.

The thing China faces as did Russia was how to get to America.

Launch a long range nuclear rocket by all means at USA and then see it shot down as Japan, South Korea, Taiwan or perhaps even later Tibet shoot off a very short range missile and take out Beijing and the rest of the major cities in China.

Hey, good move that army writer, you just showed how weak and small dicked all Chinese males are.

But you will be the world dominators one day, oh yes you will.

Just like the Russians will be.

One day.

The PLA are a bit like the poodle humper army here.

Re: China Wants a War

Before getting into war strategies and tactics it should be noted that war is a lose-lose proposition, the idea is that I can effort losing and outlast you longer than you can. The threat of war as a negotiating style is often used (cold war) but the actual war between China and the US is…just for kids to play and act. Russia will definitely be a deterring factor for the US to start a war with China.

The real danger is the momentum building for the PLA supported by the harliners to overthrow the current leadership in China. This can happen if the US pushes China too hard with trade creating massive job layouts.

The good colonel is indeed working to market the US defense contractors’ products without getting paid for his efforts. Exaggerating the military capability of the opposition and the hostile mind set of a country is what the US defense and oil industries have used over and over again to increase their sales and gross profit margins.

China cannot fight like Ben Ladden, the Taliban or the insurgents in Iraq. The good colonel does not have the experience in waging a proxy war sending supplies to the Taliban through Pakistan. And this can open another can of warms with India that US can use to explore.

So the current Chinese leaders are plying it just right for now and the colonel is getting a “good boy” pad on the back to continue teach at the military academy.

The mind is the most powerful weapon to use.

Just a little tiny country with population less than any major city in China is fighting back like hell with no victory in sight for the most powerful countries with all their sophisticated machines, technologies and well trained professional solders combined.

And please don’t tell me that’s because we are nice and they are not! We have resorted to everything that our killing machine could muster. We captured and handcuffed hundreds of so called combatants in a desert, and when our CIA people started to questioning the prisoners fought back with their hands tight. The CIA interrogators then run away and called out for the BIG bomb to be dropped on them, I guess to also destroy the evidence of their work. We tortured prisoners even though we knew they had nothing to do with the war, forced them to raped each other in prison….PLEASE…it just makes me SICK.

Many of our brave solders resigned instead of participating and they were the ones that were punished instead of the people who were committing these crimes.

This is what the good colonel should take note, study and prepare before starting the drums for war. A false national pride is not enough to fight a war. What are you going to fight for (the objectives) and what are the plans after the war?

But the good news is that China does not war and no one is taking notes about the colonel’s view point but here on TBJ.

There are many books written in just America alone by all kinds of people that birds, animals and insects planning to attacking and take over the world.

There are many other books about North Korea, Israel, Japan, Russia, China…as well as aliens from another planet planning to attack America.

The colonel’s book belongs to these categories. But a book about the falling of the American empire and what China should do to replace the vacuum would have been more realistic.

There are much more hits on the following link than the good colonel’s book LOL.
