Chinese cold medicine
Well this first week back to school as knocked me on my ass! Thank god it is Friday. I got sicker than a dog this week, those kids are just filled with yummy germs.
Anyway, just ran out of my Tylenol cold and flu medicine and wondering if anyone could recommend any Chinese cold medicine? I see the stuff adverstised all over the place I just don't know which one is best and most used by locals here. Looking for a multi-symptom treating one, runny nose, cough, fever, headache, chest congestion, the works, is there such a thing here? Pictures of the box would even help more but if not then pinyin would be good enough. thanks in advance.

Re: Chinese cold medicine
I think you got a severe cold.
It would be better for you to go to hospital asking for professional opinion. Or in fact, medicine shop can give you some good suggestions too(I trust them).
Before that, drink some hot water and eat some vitamin C could help.
There are many medicines for curing cold, most of the medicines are efficient to me. But I am not sure which one is best for you.
I generally eat 白加黑(at daytime eat the white pill, at night eat the black pill)
And cold is a common seen disease, don't worry. Hope you get well soon.

But only use it when you get severe cold. If you take it everytime, then gradually other cold medicines lose effect on you. It makes you sleepy and recover rather fast. The funny thing is that foreigners recommended this to me, twice.

Sometimes the same is different, but mostly, it's the same.
