Global Trade Building Safety?

Does anyone live in Global Trade Mansion currently? How's the construction of SOHO affecting the apartments in Global Trade?
I'm thinking about renting an apartment in Global Trade, but have come across some "old news" (of around october last year) that the construction of SOHO just south of Global Trade compound created some huge cracks in the apartment units and in the exterior walls of the buildings. Does anyone know how bad these cracks are? Do they affect the normal functioning of an apartment? And most importantly, is it going to affect the safety of the building? (I mean, things like the collapse of that building in Shanghai last year... 
)
The buildings damaged are supposed to be Building B and Building C, how about Building A and Building D? Does anyone live in Building A or D currently? Anything like what's happened to Building B and Building C? I know Building A and D are further away from the construction site, but I supposed all these buildings share an underground parking, so maybe they share the same construction foundation?

It wouldn't have been the SOHO building which is across Guanghua Lu, but the current construction site that is on the northeast corner of Guanghua Lu and Dongdaqiao Lu that is adjacent to Global Trade Mansion. There was a dilapidated shell on that site that sat rotting for a number of years (developer problems) which was finally torn down, and now another group has the site and is doing something with it.
As to foundations of GTM (or any other place), each building has its own foundation even though there may be a continuous underground parking area. And the South Buildings are not that close to the North Buildings, there is a generous internal park inbetween. So it's unlikely anything happening on the south side would impact the north side.
However, I'd be interesting in seeing your source info for the supposed problems. Usually a trip into the basement and around the outside walls could ferret out these cracks (or signs of repair thereof)...if you know what you are looking for. Cultivate a structural engineer for a friend. Or just find another apartment to rent.

I think the group currently developing the land is the same group that built SOHO, and the construction site is going to be SOHO 2. An agent has told me that buildings A and C have problems (maybe because he only has apartments in building B?), which is a bit different from what I read on the news.

Yeah, after seeing and chatting with a few agents since my last post, I'm putting off my search there for now. It's the most ideal location for me, but it just doesn't seem to worth all the worries and potential problems!
