Is anyone still owed money by Johnson Zhang/chinaemployment/Doris and co.?
Seems like his crew is back to posting regularly, so wondered if all the previously posted 'issues' had now been cleared up?
Is anyone still having problems with this company? Have you been promised money that you didn't received? Have you been given the run around, offered jobs that never materialize?
I know all the history, but just want to know what the current situation is, so i can tell my friend whether to apply for a job with them or not.

Why the f*** would anyone bother.
Oh, they screwed some people over last month?
But this month they're honest!?

No kidding. Why would you even consider telling your friend he should apply with this scumbag?
It's not like one person had a complaint. It was more like ten, wasn't it?
He probably doesn't f*** over every single foreigner he works with, but it's not for lack of trying.
Assuming, of course, that the complaints are valid.

Re: Is anyone still owed money by Johnson ...
People tend to complain quite reactively on here, IMHO.
Many people have made comments about the set up, but no one ever follows up, or gives exact details about what happened.
So the reason for the post, was to see if any of those who posted before, did actually get their complaints resolved, of if they were indeed, just left with no recourse.

Yes, there was plenty of negative reaction, but if I remember right, quite a few complaints directly from those cheated. And I think there were cases cited on another website too.
Did anyone happen to invite the guy to give his side of the story, if he has one?

Some of the issues which were brought up weren't just reactive complaints HC. There were people who had been genuinely treated badly over a period of time and found they had no recourse but to post here.
Johnson's show is a joke.
Even if half of the issues were considered simple misunderstandings he was given more than enough opportunity to give his side of the story and rectify the problems. If no one has posted positive outcomes why wouldn't he at least do so in defense of his own reputation.
Are people supposed to keep posting weekly updates about how they still can't get money out of him and how shitty he is to deal with, or do they simply give up as most would have, and move on with their lives.

He was given an open invitation.
But surprisingly never has.

That's pretty damning evidence that the allegations were valid, if you ask me.
Really, given the demand for English teachers, there's absolutely no reason anyone should go anywhere near this guy.

Now if anyone IS looking to get back something they're still owed, they know where to go.

Nice article HC. I noticed the company representative said that many of their teachers were 'unqualified'. He just took out his first leg to stand on right there.
I had to laugh at this too.
John Zhang, a lawyer with Flago Law Firm, told the Global Times.
An unfortunate coincidence of names, or has Johnson branched out into practicing law now?

Hahaha, damn, I missed that!
I didn't finish the article until 11pm last night, so I guess that's my excuse. But yeah, John is a real lawyer who knows what he is talking about when it comes to these matters, where as Johnson is simply that (allegedly).

Bottom line....don't deal wth pimp brokerage firms....I can only say this 10,000 times and another 10,000 times and so forth until the fat lady in shades sings again...no matter how fancy an office they have or how professional they claim to be. Why let them make money off of your hard work. The opportunities are out there clear as day and the scams well Johnson and every other pseudonym used will continue to defraud teachers as long as those out there continue to depend on misguided trust.
The best thing you can do is warn other teachers. Good article. Thanks for putting that out there. Interesting part about the teachers being disgruntled. If a school has a problem with a teacher pay them and let them go. Fines and/or withholding payment are a no no.
Ironically, even illegal aliens in the U.S. actually do have certain legal rights.
