Moving to Beijing HELP!!!

My family and I are moving to Beijing this summer from the U.S. but are British We have just came back from a house/school visit. Could we have some feed back on the Rose and Gingo Compound (also known as Dragon Lake not Dragon Villas) and Ritz Gardens. We would appreciate any comments with regards to how long it takes to get to WAB and if there is a lot of Ex-pats in these areas. Also any comments about the landlords and how quick they are to respond to any house problems. Thanks

Re: Moving to Beijing HELP!!!

Hello dnairhia

Landlords only like to see money coming in, and if you want something fixed, is likely either you pay to fix it, or the landlord will pay to fix it, the day after hell freezes over!

My Chinese Wife helps me to acclimate!

Somethings you will have difficulty finding in Beijing are, artificial sweetener, flavored coffee creamer (dry or otherwise) artificial vanilla flavoring, cinnimon, Niquel nightime cold formula!

I do not remember the name of the Subway station, but is on line one, and ten stations east of Wukesong is a wonderful "walking street" no cars, traffic, just pedestrians and shops. Upon immediatly leaving the subway, is a large indoor mall!

Good luck to you, Todd

Re: Moving to Beijing HELP!!!

Hello dnairhia
I am a chinese girl in Beijing and I am a real estate agent. I am very familiar with the area around WAB. Almost every villas compound have a lot of expats, so don't worry about this. And some landlords react quickly to problems and some don't. So it depends.
