Applying to teaching jobs in Beijing online, but none of them respond?

Ok, I plan to go to Beijing either the end of March or sometime in April. I will be staying with a friend who lives and teaches in Beijing. He will let me stay with him and help me find a job if I don't already have one lined up before I get there. He and many other people I know all suggest that I apply to places online. I have been applying to some and I have been sending them my resume, my degree and even my passport photo and explain that I'm interested in the job and that I will go to China soon, but they don't respond...why??? I'm qualified...I'm guessing that reason is because I'm still in America now? Maybe they waited until the last minute to find someone to fill their open spots and need someone ASAP. I'm just tired of people saying apply online and get a job before you go. Some places will even pay for your ticket to China...yet every time I apply, I get NADA what is up with this crap? Does anyone know?

It used to be, years ago, that you could secure a job in China and get them to fly you out pretty easily.
Nowadays, most schools want to have the teacher already in the country so they can do a face to face interview.
You should be fine when you get here, but I really don't think you're going to find a school who will fly you over these days.
Too many losers chucked the job for a better one once they got here and the school got burned for the free flight in the past.

They still offer flights paid but it is only later they give you the money, after you work one year then they will give you flight ticket money. They are getting smarter! And yes they like to interview you face to face, so maybe thats why.
They don't know if you are serious or not so why bother with you? There are plenty of us already here taking up all the jobs, you better hurry, I am going to get them all before arrive!!! haha, I want more and more, I am available in Haidian near the universities, pm if you want to hire me anyone! I am a great teacher and tutor! haha, don't hire him!
