Dog:no Pedigree dry dog food, not tasty.Do you enjoy Instant Noodles every meal, human being?
I think this is a common misconception among many Chinese.
Actually, feeding your dog a single reasonable quality dry dog food is the best thing you can do for it. Dogs don't need variety.
Even changing dog food brands can give some dogs stomach problems for a few days.
Giving them table scraps in moderation is fine, but if that's their main diet you'll have a dog with more or less constant diarrhea.
I haven't heard anything about the Pedigree sold here, Joe. It seems to be the most common one, from what I can tell.
For what it's worth, I give my dog Purina Hi Pro. The price/quality ratio is pretty good; I think I pay 265RMB for a 15kilo bag. But I've always had to special order it from the local pet supply store.
Happy New Year 2Bi! I hereby grant you early release for a month of good behavior.
Don't violate your parole though, naughty naughty!
Dogs need dry kibble, not only is it safe for their stomach but it helps to keep their teeth clean.
Do you know how may rotten-toothed dogs I have seen in China because they are fed human food? A lot.
I asked this guy the other day, "How old is your dog, like ten years old? (The dog looked like hell, fat, yellowed teeth, horrible breath.). He told me the dog was only 4 years old!
Dogs have delicate stomachs and despite what you think feeding them human food is cruel.

I didn't say I fed the dog ONLY Pedigree dry. It's among the things he eats. When I have "yang rou pao mo", guess who gets the yang rou? I get the pao mo.
