Are there any rowing clubs in Beijing

Hi there, I'm a student at Oxford University and will be a visiting student at Peking University from April - June. I'm keen to continue my rowing while I'm in there but haven't been able to find any rowing clubs listed on the web. Does anyone know of any? I'd really appreciate your help.

Am likely to move to Beijing and had the same question as you about rowing clubs. Did you find out if there were any clubs? Would be really keen to know if so.

Hi,

I am also moving to Beijing in the summer. I shall be in the Shunyi district, just south of the airport. I am also interested in rowing. I used to row for Poplar, Blackwall and District. Considering the Olympic facilities there must be somewhere...maybe we should start one.

I was just in Beijing and was talking with some folks about this. I've done some rowing consultancy work helping establish the Bahamas Rowing Association and would be more than happy to help get this off the ground, if only at a distance (as I am in Hong Kong with a very healthy rowing community). There are quite a few decent shell makers in China - no Empacher or Janousek level - but they're sturdy, stiff and they get the job done. I'm currently in the middle of job-hunting, so I've got plenty of time to dedicate to getting something set up for you guys, as I've done it before. Plus, it'd give us guys in Hong Kong an extra set of competition.

Hi. I too are possibly moving to Beijing and are looking to see if there are any rowing clubs. Has there been any success in setting one up. I currently row for Maidstone Invicta and would be happy to join in with the start up.
