Teachers or fakes? who will work for anything

As we all know there are many vacancies for English teaching positions for native speakers in Beijing, overwhelmingly part time at language schools.
As a teacher I have turned down some part time jobs after not being happy with rates of pay and terms. I do however find out these language schools can get "English teachers" (for the purpose of this I refer to them as teachers even if they are not real teachers)at a low rate , as low as 80 Yuan an hour. I discover some persons will work for any rate that is offered. Seems the recession causes many employers and weiguos to inflict more damage on what is a real profession but attracts the fakes.

...yeah.....losers from US and UK that failed back home. And Philippino guys that dont want to work as maids in Singapore, lets not forget our African friends....(old news)

I worked at one mill that would drop my hours to hire non-natives willing to work for 60% of my rate. The students would get pissed off and a week later the non-native would be gone and I'd have my hours back. Problem was that the dragon lady who reigned over the place insisted on doing this over and over again to absolutely everyone's dissatisfaction and ultimately even to the detriment of the school's profits. Students were bitching and dropping like flies. I naturally moved on to greener pastures.

Sciency is right, smart schools will hire good teachers. Most of the teachers work for training centers, private schools, etc, places where the kids or parents have to pay alot for the privlege of being taught by a native speaker. Bad teacher means bad business. My schools love me, I bring in students, thus I bring in money. My students love me as their teacher and go home and tell their parents everyday about the good experience they have in my class. I am a college graduate and came here with no teaching experience and now a year and half later I am very good at it and have several schools offering me work thus I can afford to be picky and only chose the best positions for myself. I never work for under 150 rmb per hour.
Where these a-holes get their informaton is beyond me, it has said many times, American and UK losers are back at home, they don't come here, people who can actually come here and live here and function are far from being losers. You are the loser Brita because no other country will even let you in!

uuuuaaau....what a comeback. Chillax sweetie. Obviously, u have no real contract-assuming from u working for many schools. No medical or housing benefits.....

Never said I was a Havard English professor, one of those would not step foot in this sh#t hole, so for the time being you are stuck with me.
You get what you pay for and I am more than qualified with a good college degree to teach English to small kids.
You want a qualified specialist? haha, you are a joke Brita, go pay 1000 per hour and you might get close to what you are looking for or pay thousands and thousands of U.S. dollars to go to college there, I am sure they will give you a good lesson or two! haha

...thats exactly what I am doing. Paying thousands and thousands of dollars to an institution where I wont bump into a pathetic hippie with some 5th tier college diploma (or was it a 2 month online course)? Not many chances back home. Totally understand. We all need to eat.
