Reputable visa agents?
Hey,
I've been glancing through the site off and on for the last half year-ish, and I've seen a few members who appeared to be well-known visa agents but unfortunately I lost the contact information I had been storing up for when I'd need to do my visa again.
So I'm wondering who here are reputable visa agents? Long time members of the site who work for agencies, or who have helped a lot of members around here?
Right now my visa is good, and I'm not in dire need of a visa agent but I hope that some of you can tell me who you have used and had good experiences with as far as honesty, pricing, efficiency goes.
Thanks a lot to everyone who helps out!

Re: Reputable visa agents?
I don't know that anyone on here has used the many visa agents that advertise on here, at least they never mention it. I know I have not tried any of them yet but may this June, next month when mine expires again.

Be careful! Almost all of the visa spammers here are only thieves and have been known to steal passports and your money.

Re: Reputable visa agents?
i think a good visa agent can solve your problems efficiently when you get visa troubles ,they can provide the good services.when you ask a visa agent to help you do the visa for the first time ,you'd better go to their office and talk with them .

Re: Reputable visa agents?
There are a lot of "visa agents" but that is an ancient Manchu phrase meaning "sleazy, thieving, pointy shoe people". There is only one that I trust, his name is Kevin at Leeo visa. He's honest to the point of losing business rather than give you some bullshyyt promise that he knows he can't deliver. That being said, he can do damned near anything involving visas. He's gotten me sorted out through a couple of hairy times over the years.here's the link

Re: Reputable visa agents?
Yes, LEEO Visa is the ONLY reputable visa agent on the forum.
ALL -- and I do mean ALL -- the rest are known thieves, liars, convicts, slimeballs, scumbags that will steal your money and usually steal your passport.

Re: Reputable visa agents?
So you mean to say that NONE of these so called "VISA AGENTS" have helped anyone at all? That ALL of them are scammers, liars, thieves, etc.?
Sorry to ask, it just sounds very alarming "IF" that is indeed TRUE, coz the ADMIN of this forum seems not to be doing anything/much then to protect the members.
gdbill
Re: Reputable visa agents?
Of course the admin is not doing anything. Have you ever been on a forum that is a) reputable and b) allows any cretin to come on and solicit people for legal services, visa services, personal massage service and black market loans? It's called 'spam" and reputable forum admins nuke spammers. They used to nuke them here, but The Beijinger Forum has died and been replaced by Chinglish Forums R Us.

Re: Reputable visa agents?
Thanks for the information guys. I think I may have found a good visa agent located in Hu Jia lou who has helped two of my co-workers and doesn't charge outrageous rates. I will go and talk to this agent, and make a reply here with my impression of the person so everyone can benefit from my experience.
Keep discussing though if you feel so inclined, this is good stuff I think.

Re: Reputable visa agents?
Thanks, and I hope you do follow up with your experience with that agent. I did contact Leeo visa yesterday via email and they replied quickly and gave me a good quote so with two people saying they are reputable on here that is better than what has been said about anyone else.
I will also update with who I end up using next month.

Re: Reputable visa agents?
I too am looking for a good agent. I'm in a situation that I went from an X to an L and everyone tells me I need to go to HK to get any type of visa...except for this guy named Paul from:
http://www.sinovisaonline.com/English/
I've never used any agent, but how can you know who to trust? What kind of receipt or deposit should I expect in return for forking over my passport?

Re: Reputable visa agents?
Have you tried extending your visa at the Public Security Bureau? Usually an "L" visa can be extended at least once and often twice.
You don't know who you can trust. That's the problem. You could always go down to their office and check them out.

Re: Reputable visa agents?
I was told it can't be extended because I went from X to L...and I need to go to HK. I wish there was some logic behind the madness. Alas, the head scratching in China continues...

Yeah, logic is something you seldom find here.
Does the visa guy ask for money up front?

Nope and he has an office and a website, but only started posting here recently.

Re: Reputable visa agents?
You could visit his office. If it doesn't look like a scam then maybe you'd be ok. At least you could go back and trash the place if he didn't return your passport in a few days.

Re: Reputable visa agents?
Sure thing you canot extend your L or change it to F in Bj as its changed from X. I dont think Sinovisa can do that.
If you call PSB, they will tell you NO for sure.
You'd better go to HK with F invitation letter n back to extend it, I've helped some clients with this, if you need any help or more information, feel free to let me know.

Re: Reputable visa agents?
If your have changed X to L visa, you are required to go to HK to get new one.
There are two options for you
One: Applying for Bussiness Ivitation Letter, you can get one month F visa in HK, when you come back, F can be extended for 6 months or one yr.
Two: Applying L visa in HK, and find a visa agent to change L-F visa. Now L-F conversion is quite easy, it only needs 5 working days.
Hope my suggesion is helpful

Re: Reputable visa agents?
I'm a little put off by that Leeo that a few people mentioned earlier. The first time I tried talking to the msn address listed for that one and I was almost immediately shunted by whoever was sitting behind the keyboard. NOT A GOOD WAY to make an impression when someone wants to GIVE YOU MONEY to process important documents for them.

Re: Reputable visa agents?
Ouch, thats not good to hear, I was planning on using them next month, I did not msn them but I gave Kevin I think was the name a e-mail and he quickly gave me a reply with a good price on F renewal. hmm, I hope they are good, we will see.

Re: Reputable visa agents?
Little tip
This is a very good question, think carefully and you'd better go to their office to see and ask, some of them even don't have a specific work area for visa service, it's quite easy to ask for this. Or you can check the position for their office at first like clicking the link below.

Re: Reputable visa agents?
I want to retract my previous statement. It seems that my negative experience when I first talked to him was a misunderstanding. I have talked to (Kevin) again a few times since then and have been fairly pleased by him. He seems to be honest, and didn't beat around the bush at all when I asked him about policies and prices. Good sign.

Re: Reputable visa agents?
Thats good to hear but I just emailed Kevin at Leeo visa service and he did not reply, so that has me worried, I need a F visa renewal this month, I guess it is back to looking again.

I'm still wondering, who's used any of the visa agents around here and any recommendations? My new visa expires also this month, but I'm being extra careful entrusting my passport with just anybody too.

Re: Reputable visa agents?
haha, good question, seems all these people on here and all of these agents advertising and no one has used any of them, at least they have not shared that they have and who they used. We may have to be the test mice on this one!

Re: Reputable visa agents?
U think all the visa agents survive by just hanging around here without any clients?
I have many clients, but that doesnt mean all of them will give me a recomendation here, n some did, but u didnot c it.
Come over to their office to have a look, ask questions u feel worries about, and also like me, I can give reference to my clients if they like.
