I hold F visa, what are the options for my wife to visit me in China

I am an Australian national and will visit China in July on F visa. My wife is Pakistani national and I want her to come to China with me. I have a couple of questions;
1. Can I apply L visa for my wife before I enter China so that both of us can travel together. Or do I need to go to China first and then apply for her L visa?
2. She can stay maximum of 90 days if she comes on L visa (and uses both of the extensions).
If she leaves China after 90 days, can she again easily get L visa from Pakistan? I am expected to be in China for 6-12 months. What are the best options so that she can stay here for longer.
3. I read that L visa can be converted to F visa. What are the charges? How can I arrange the documents for her?

yea,your wife can travel in china with L visa and then apply for another L .because of chinese policy,it is a little difficult for her to convert L to F visa.

You can get a L or F visa,but i think it will be a little difficult to extend your visa when it's expried.

I think you should travel with your wife,and your wife with L-visa,for some reasons,it's difficult to extend L-visa in China for Pakistan.And also,it's very difficult to convert the L-visa to F-visa.
So just travel with your wife holding L-visa.
