F visa- exit/ entry requirements

Hi guys,
Hope u could help me clear some things up.
I currently hold an F visa (issued here in Beijing). I wanna go to Hong Kong to get an exit stamp so I can extend my F for another 6 months or a year. Now, I'm wondering about the entry requirements when one holds an F visa. Do I need to prepare an onward plane ticket when I re-enter the mainland?
Also, my passport is about to expire in November (which gives me less time than the specified 6-month passport validity when entering China). Would this be a problem? And lastly, it doesn't have an extra page so would it be ok if the exit/entry stamps are placed on the pages containing previous immigration stamps.
Would really appreciate all your answers.

1.your new visa can be only extended to the expired date of your passport.
2.you have to go to the embassy to add more pages.
3.you just go to hk and come back.

Here is answers to your questions, hope that will help:
Q1. Do I need to prepare an onward plane ticket when I re-enter the mainland?
A1. No, you dont need to approve anything when you are holding a valid F visa back mainland;
Q2. my passport is about to expire in November (which gives me less time than the specified 6-month passport validity when entering China). Would this be a problem?
A2. Yes, if the valiadity of passport is less than 6months, you can extend your visa till the expire date of the passport rather than the entire 6months.
Q3. it doesn't have an extra page so would it be ok if the exit/entry stamps are placed on the pages containing previous immigration stamps.
A3. Yes, they can stamp on the pages with previous immigration stamps, and you have to make sure they didnot take the only empty visa page, as you will need at least one empty visa page if you wanna get your visa extended when ur back mainland. If you dont have any empty visa page, then go to embassy to add it b4 you extend your visa.

Foreigners with F visas need to leave China mainland once a year. Then they can have F visas renewed again.
If your last entry date was almost 1 year ago, you need first exit and re-enter to get a new entry stamp.
It is quite simple. Cross the border and come back. You can do the visa run in HK, Macau, Korea, Japan, Thailand or the like if it is visa free for you.
When crossing the border, ask the customs staff to stamp on other page already with stamps, instead of a totally blank page. It is reasonable request especially when you don't have enough page(s) left.
This time you can extend your China visa till the passport expiration date, i.e. November. At some embassies, they don't add pages, only issue you new passports. Thus it takes longer time. Right after you get visa renewed, you can apply for the new passport in that case.

Hi,
If you have F visa, and wanna fly out to get entry stamp, you do not need to show ticket and other documents.
You can apply for a new passport, it will probably take several weeks. please pay attension to the expiration date of your current visa, just in case that you will get new passport when your visa is already expired.
On the current situation, When your visa is about to expire but you haven't got new passport, you can ask Ambassy to give you a certificate to show that your new passport is in the Ambassy, just needs more time to be rectified.
When you get new passport, you can take it with old passport, certificate to extend F visa for six month.
