Z visa expires on July 30, can I still go back home to my home country?

I want to go back home on June 22. It will be the first time that I will go back home after 2 years. The problem is, the school is taking a long time to help me renew my work permit and Z visa. They just submitted all my requirements last Thursday before the Dragon Boat festival. Now, my question is, will it be possible to get my passport back THEN return home to the Philippines, then go back here on July 8?Will the immigration allow me entry here in Shanghai again?Thank you so much!I would really,really appreciate any help right now, I want to go home real BAD!

Renew your Z visa need 10 working days . It is including two steps.
First steps : renew your foreign expert permit,it need 5 working days .
Second steps: renew your residence permit for 1 year , it need 5 working days .
If you already renewed foreign expert permit , you must renew your residence permit in 10 days.
If you have not renewed foreign expert permit , you can go back your home , coz Z visa is multi-entries visa .

Could you please tell us the exact expire date of your Z visa?
Actually, you can get back your passport during the first step and also can extend your Z visa only if you can come back before the expire date.
I mean, you can change the work permit information first, and then get back the passport and go back home and come back before the expire date and going to the extension.
So give us the exact expire date, pls.
