l visa extension - easier outside beijing?

yo,

i need to get an L-visa extension, but the $3000-in-a-chinese-bank-account requirement is a problem. i can prove i've got $3000 in a foreign bank account, but don't think i have time to transfer it.

i've had a tourist visa extended in another chinese city before without this requirement. are there any cities near beijing where i can get my visa extended without having to prove $3000 in a chinese bank account? how long would it take in these cities?

or is it possible to do instant transfers from foreign bank accounts to chinese ones? if so, is the commission ridiculous?

i've seen that chengde psb will do it on the spot with no bank requirements - can anyone confirm?

Hi there,

Yep, I dont think any city near BJ dont require bank reference to extend L visa.

But if you are not bothered to do it by urself, you can ask us to help which wont cost much. just need to bring your passport and one two-inch photo

Looking for similar information. I have an L visa that will expire about November 14th. My previous visa was also an L visa that I had for 1 year before getting two months in Manila in September. The bank requirement shouldn't be a problem but I don't know exactly what information I need. Want to know if I can extend my L visa in Beijing for 30 days. Can it be extended again after the first extension? Any information about the cost? I've heard 1000 kuai from some people. I have a US passport. Thanks, Brian.

L or F visa extend to business visa for 3,6 months.

Nearly,the policy is change and Expo led to more restrictive visa

Hi Brain,

Yes, you can extend L visa for twice, each time you can extend for one month.

You need to prepare:
1. bank reference with $3,000 in any of your Chinese bank account;
2. passport and one two-inch photo;
3. temporary residence certificate.

Government fee of America is 940rmb, so unless you do it by urself, or it wont only be 1,000rmb for you.
