Work experience certificate

Hi guys. I'm in the middle of applying for my Z type visa, and I need a certificate to say that I've got 2 years work experience, which I do, but I have no documentation for. What is a work experience certificate, and how am I supposed to get one? I've been trying to get advice from the staff at the local Chinese Embassy, but its like squeezing blood from a stone - there isn't even anyone to speak to.

Any clues greatly appreciated.

You can contact the company which you have worked with before, ask manager or HR to help you with this documents. The paper must be letterheaded with the company's name,and HR manager must sigh name on the paper.

The they must mail this to you, because Chinese Labout Bureau wants to see the original one.

Thanks Ashley,

Unfortunately both of the businesses I have worked for no longer exist (one went bankrupt, the other changed names and countries) so this will be difficult. I am applying for a university tutoring position (not ESOL), do you know if it would be OK to use the letterhead of a business unrelated to the teaching profession?

It doesn't matter if your previous working experience is unrelated to teaching profession.

But be sure that you did full time job in that company. not intership or part time.

Yes, it's really difficult to get the work experience from your previous companies. Unless you can also get the proof of bankruptcy and company changes. But if you really can get the documents(include you work experience), they are can be used. Even though it is unrelated to teaching profession.

well, try to get doc. of reference letter from your old company even its not existed any more I mean if you stil can find your boss n get contacted with him/her.

If not, our company can help you to apply for emolpyment licence even you dont have it.
