I love jiao zi and tea eggs. Eaten together. Perfect stodgy food.
Noodles in China are mostly great, all kinds from beef/pork soup noodles with cilantro to chao mian with udon noodles or dan dan mian, Muslim ding ding mian, love them all.
Chinese vegetables like broccoli or pea pods fried up with garlic always go down nice.
Beef and hot peppers served on a sizzling hot iron plate.
Tu dou si, if cooked well.
I like lao bing, it's one of my favourite breads.
Beef, potato and green been soup, the broth is amazing.
Muslim lamb kebabs with that crazy bbq spicy bread.
Generally I quite enjoy Chinese food.
I hate:
dofu or chou dofu any f-ing tofu, that sh*t is vile
I can't stand to be in the same room as that 'porridge' stuff. Just looking at it makes me retch. When the MIL is slurping it, masticating and dribbling it, it's vomit time.
I also don't like tofu, stinky or otherwise. The dry stuff's ok, but the ones that look like white jelly, no.
Anything with too much fat on it , too many bones, meat on bones (I'm not a fkn dog), most insides of animals except kidney or liver, no thanks.
Too spicy? No.
Love: Tie ban niu liu (sizzling beef on hot plate), hong shao wanzi (meat balls), roast duck, salted duck liver, hot pot etc etc the typical laowai stuff (you eat too many meat, you so fat hahaha)
My parents in law still love the peasant food they used to eat during the cultural revolution. They are respectable city people with high flying careers too. i am surprised they didn't develop better taste but each to their own.

I used to eat that every Saturday/Sunday morning with my parents..oh dear...I still remember The Bloke's horrified face when the chook feet came on the table...
Honestly, I don't know many of the stuff Sam has mentioned...must be Beijing food...gonna try them one day!

Sichuan, but not so much all the 麻辣 (numb spice flavor).
Tofu, especially hotpot blood 'tofu'. Won't touch the smelly stuff though.
Cantonese, especially chashao and dimsum (especially the chicken feet and innards).
Baozi.
Chinese 'pizza pie'.
Moo shoo.
Koong pao.

I like most of it I just get tired of the fact 95% of it seems to be stir fries over rice or on the odd occasion noodles. It's good but I eat it everyday to the point it all tastes the same. We have jiaozi in the west, it's either called ravioli or pierogi so that's nothing special. I did however fall in love with those puffy fried doufu squares and duck here though.
Dislike:
fei rou, fish here is just a pain in the ass to eat, eel was so so but cooked with blood (blech!), feet of any sort, massive amounts of la jiao my girlfriend loves to use, any kind of organ, cooked lettuce (WTF??), everyone taking food from the same bowls using their chopsticks still grosses me out, that cold lentil soup...the list goes on an on.
I don't eat fish or seafood in China, and only lake fish back home if I'm pressured by my fishing-obsessed family members. Some salt, pepper and lemon juice on a fresh lake trout is not bad.
