This is not meant to insult normal gay people, but is a comment on a sector of the gay population.

The "flamboyant gay".

New guy started at my office this week, and he is FLAMING. I mean he's got on skin tight trousers, pointy, super-shiny black shoes (not leather, looks like plastic) and a haircut like Justin Bieber. Big Urkel glasses.

If it were just appearance, I wouldn't be bothered, but he's the stereotypical dramatic, hair-flipping, sashaying, limp-wristed nancy-boy. On top of that he's a whiner and a complainer.

You know the type? I'm having a hard time coping, luckily we're in separate offices but I'm technically his direct supervisor so I have to deal with him regularly.

Any experiences/coping mechanisms?

1) they can't afford me
2) hero would be the recipient of the DCM in double quick time.
3) breech of site protocol and security by staff and especially moderators would get a warning followed by dismissal.

I don't think I would be suitable.

Watson wasn't a flamboyant queer.

I'm assuming he's foreign, since your description for the most part fits the majority of young Chinese guys.

As long as I complete all my assignments for the week, I'm free to do as I please.

So the queer is in the other office but still you can't stop thinking about him. Hmmmm...

I can see this is really getting to you too. I sort of agree that this is HIS fault for sashaying by and being gay around you, then working in a different office where you can't see him, like a little tease.

He's obviously going out of his way to frustrate you.

Perhaps you could ambush him in the mensroom today and sort him out in one of the stalls? My guess is you'll feel a lot better after that. And it might even get him to tone the down the gayness a bit, so you can finally focus again on your, uh, work.

Definitely, I wish I had thought of that. It's so obvious.
Obviously Hero will say he is not gay....but...a few of the guys that blew him after hockey might have been????

well, it's not like you don't like him just because he's gay, you're just annoyed by his flamingness. so just ignore him like i am currently ignoring the new, super-annoying CBC lady in my office by wearing my ipod at all times and only engaging when necessary. when engaged, move in to passive aggression that can never be directly pinpointed. and there you have a very mature and constructive method of communication. Party

OK OK admin recognised the transference symptoms first.

1) if you are confident in your own sexuality you do not feel uncomfortable or threatened by the presence of alternatives.
2) it is common to transfer anger to the other as it causes those self doubts you've had.
3) it reminds you of past experiences you'd like to forget.
