I have an account with Bank of Beijing but I'm planning on moving out of Beijing soon to travel around China for 4 months before eventually heading back to the states. I was thinking about opening a new bank account that has more branches around China. I've heard that there are ATM fees for using the debit cards outside of Beijing. Does anyone know which bank has the lowest fees or if there is a bank that doesn't charge fees?

Also, is it necessary to be back in Bejing to close my account?
