Should I convert my visa?

I currently have a 12 month multiple entry 90 day duration L visa, would there be any benefit for converting it to an F visa? What is the standard duration of stay for an F? I'm debating whether it is worth the hassle of converting the visa, when as of now I could just take several trips to Mongolia in the next year. Do you have any advice?

I think don't convert L visa to F visa right now,it's not worth.

Now it is difficult to convert your L visa to the F visa, so you'd better hold your L visa now.
If you have changed your L visa to F visa for 6 months, you can go outside or you can stay here without leaving China mainland every 90 days.You can make up your mind.

For the time being, L-F conversion is not available. Because of the Shanghai Expo or other big events, all visa conversion and extension seems to be much more difficult than before, but everything will be ok soon, I believe, in the near future.
Since each duration of stay for L visa is 90days, you do not need to worry about ur visa, just to wait and see.
There is no doubt that you will get more benefits from F visa,then you wont be suffering from making trips to Mongolia to renew ur visa every 90days or even 180days...ect

yep, as they suggested, keep your L visa first, when the policy is better for F visa, get a 6months/1yr F visa straight away without limitation on each stay, or if you find a job, with your employer's sponso, switch L to a 1yr residence permit.
