Hey everyone, i am so surprised of the prices of sanlitun soho (min 10000/month), they getting crazy about this place, so i just want to open this topic to know little more peoples opinion about this place???
Ok the location is great, but what about others services??
i saw some appartements there and so much places not even well finished, and they are trying to rent it as quick as possible without any additional services, like Tv channels, Internet, water fountain, sport center, and others charges, or whatever others services that you usually have in others good places in Beijing... also saw lot of foreigners getting mad at the building staff because they can't speak any chinese... Does this place deserve really that prices??? in which others places can you be for same prices???

honnestly I do not think that the location of sanlitun SOHO is so convenient.
every night you will be surrounded by a bunch of drunk idiots, especially during the weekends, and the traffic at this area is terrible = heavy air pollution.
the only positive fact is that it is close to the bar street, so you can become alcoholic in a matter of months, and you can come back home walking instead of taking a cab.
Let the owners (certainly a bunch of stupid uneducated nouveau riche who bought those condo as an investment) piss on their pants and wait...eventually the rental prices will go down

I walked through there the other day, while I was canvassing various living options for a friend (with a big budget) who will be moving to Beijing soon. Disliked the atmosphere of the place so much that I didn't even bother to check out the apartments. Told friend to forget this place. As a residence, the vibe is just wrong, don't know how else to put it.

A bit late to post but we went to look at a few units today some layouts better than others but shite finishing and its brand new when it's labelled as a top development give it a year and it will start to disintegrated shocking workmanship for that sort of rental.
Plus the agent told us that the pool and gym could take 6months to a year to finish!

We are also at the move in this days, and have seen many apartments inside SOHO. The price differences are very big, depending on the layout of the apartments as well as the agencies, which will be used.
The houses and the apartments are very nice. As others mentioned earlier, three major problems are available:
- the streets and the surrounding area are heavily polluted with people (all day and night).
- it is more than difficult to find a taxi at special times.
- no English speaking staff available.
Options are the newly built East Avenue, which is opposite of the International Wonderland (I would say the best decorations, I have ever seen in the last five years in Beijing) and the International Wonderland itself (many apartments are nice and the prices are much lower than in East Avenue).
Both places are in 8 minutes walking distance to the SOHO buildings, but not much of a crowd there.
