Chinese 成语

Hi there,

I really need to crack on Chinese 成语. I know a few and I am NCIKU.com but yet what I really need is maybe a webpage/site with a lot of idioms (if not all)in use nowadays. It would be good if this webpage/site could point at when to use them, if they are written or spoken language and of course provide a translation in English.

No teacher, no language partner, no fast learning Chinese link, just a webpage/site to learn them at my pace.

By the way in the Chinese language, only four-word or eight-word idioms are Chengyu, long sentences are proverbs.

Not sure if they are still available. When I was a kid and learning Chinese, there were books that listed frequently used 成语. Even better, the books explained the orignins/stories behind them, so it was really easy for me to learn how to use them properly.
