How to be blonde in Beijing?
Hi
I am moving to Beijing in two months time and I am worried about how to maintain my blonde hair. I have heard several horror stories of westerners trying to keep their blonde hair and landing up with total disasters. Is there any way I can maintain my blonde hair without doing serious damage? Can anyone recommend a good salon where they have experience with dying/ highlighting blonde western hair?
Thank you!

I think that one solution is to learn to this by urself at home before coming here, so that u're sure you can stay blonde for as long as you want. Sorry that where hair color is concerned I don't know what salon to recommend you, I only go to salons for haircuts..

Keep an eye out when you're out, if you see a western lady with a great color, ask her where she had it done.

I have asked the same question just 2 minutes a go! Did you find any hairdressers capable of colouring blonde hair in Beijing since your post?

I'm assuming Toni & Guy will be the best, I used to live in the south of China and visited a Toni & Guy in Macau and they were great, they use proper foils and have colour charts and listen to what your saying, they are taught to the standard of the international hairdressing standards, I'm getting my hair done there soon so will let you know how it goes, haha!

Hi! I'm looking for a good salon as well. Have you been to T&G yet? I've read very mixed reviews on here but seems there's a French salon somewhere that has good reviews. any advice? I wanna go real short and blonde and am very nervous at trusting an unknown stylist...

A good salon for us blondes is Julie's Salon in Worker's Stadium For a full head of blonde they charged only 500RMB. And they foiled it instead of bleaching which is healthier.

Re: How to be blonde in Beijing?
i tried T&G and they were going to charge me 1500RMB and they were going to do bleach. The hairdresser I talked to was Salmon (I think she is at Tata salon now or Salon de France) but pricing was the same at all the T&G's here. Julie's was amazing and way cheaper. I have been hearing disappointing reviews about T&G too.
