Hi!to all,is there a posibility that i can extend my L visa for the second time without living Beijing?Iam from Philippines,and also can we apply for a fiance visa?if so what are the documents needed?my bf works here,iam wondering how we could get a longer visa for me without living the country,my visa will expire on May 6,advice and replies are highly appreciated.agency can contact me.tnx

1. normally it will take 5 working days. not include Chinese festival and weekend. by the way from 29th APR. to 1st May these three days are festival.

2. you need save 2,1000RMB for each one. if you do not have enough money, you will get less than 30 days L visa.

3. L visa can extension for 2 times.

You can extend the L visa by yourself.
About the work visa,you can apply by yourself if you have the company's sponsorship.

If you have all documents required, you can do it yourself.
It is no problem for you to do L-visa extension 2 times in China.

For a longer visa, you'd better find a employer and ask the employer to sponsor you to get a longer visa, working visa.

L visa can be extended twice , one month for each time.

You can extend L visa for twice, each time for one month wihout leaving China;
You can't get fiance visa, as there is only spouse visa, so you can apply for that after you got married.

L visa can be exterded for two times. when your L visa is about to expire, you have to exit China to apply for a new visa if you want to come back again.Based on your situation, you need to get marriage license and make sure that your bf has already got work visa, then you can try to apply for residence permit(spouse Z visa ),and it valids for one year.

It doen't work that way. No matter how long L visa you got, you only can extend it one month per time as normal tourist visa.

What if your L visa is a 3 month visa, do you get a 3 month extension?

Hi Frank,

You seem to have a seriously wealth of knowledge on the subject! If you don't mind, I have two questions:

- I've heard conflicting information that you can process the extension the day your L visa is going to expire AND another that you actually need to go 5 working days in advance, can you clarify which option is correct?
- How can you "show" that you have enough RMB in your Chinese bank account, is a print-out from netbanking sufficient? Someone mentioned that you need to freeze your account (?), another that bringing along your bank card is enough.

You'll be able to extend the L visa all by yourself.
If you need to extend your visa for a long time, then you will need to get your employer to help you out.
