Re: any advice???

Hey there Lisa,

At the moment we have around 150 students learning Chinese at the Hutong School. We started the Hutong School in 2005 and have since welcomed over 800 students. We have since gathered a big group of happy alumni and fans. Since my opinion would be far from objective I suggest you to get in touch with them trough our Facebook Page.

Also feel free to take a look at some student testimonials or what has been written about us in the media.

Best,
Nathan

Lisa. No one on this thread, nor your other thread, recommended The HuTong School.

I think that in itself is therefore a recommendation. Wink

Re: any advice???

Hi Lisa,

I would like to introduce you Masterchinese, where you can learn chinese online. We provide our students 1-on-1 interactive lesson with the private and professional native teachers from China. Once you register, you will get a free trial lesson.
Also, we offer English Chinese translation services and tips for expats in China.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Re: any advice???

UGH. Did this thread really turn into a dash by each school to advertise? Working for a language school myself, I cannot comment on their school but I will give you some tips for finding a school and try to contribute to the forum.

If you are already in China
Beijing is full of Chinese language schools (as I am sure you are now aware) and I always recommend potential students to try other schools. Learning Chinese is very personal and different schools teach differently. Most schools will give you a free trial.

Go to the school and talk to the students. Beyond asking about their satisfaction, see if you can get an idea of what the school did for the student's Chinese. This is a great way to see how the school actually teaches.

If you are not in China
Try searching forums for information about language schools. This is a good way to read about honest feedback.

I hope that this was legitimately helpful Smile

Mike

Re: any advice???

Good luck I couldn't do it!

Shakespeare Coined the phrase "in a pickle", Queen Elizabeth I ate sweets until her teeth rotted, Einstein failed his college-entrance exam. They probably didn't want you to know.....Power to the user! Michael

Re: any advice???

I don't think so, that doesn't really help a lot. It is better to attend a real famous and authetic language school to learn a language.

Re: any advice???

You can consider the CUCAS New Learner Chinese Program

Just check through google for the key words: CUCAS NLC Program

all ads here

Re: any advice???

I know anything about this school,so,it not very famous in beijing.

Re: any advice???

Dear,

I totally agree with Mike, the best way to choose a school is to try it.
Chinese training takes some time and is really important to improve yourself and get more opportunities in your career. So our advice is to try around 4, 5 schools with different method and then you can make your mind up about the one who is the most suitable for you and matches totally your needs.

Talk with the current students of the school is also a good idea for sure. You can get a real feedback about the quality of the service.

If you want to try TailorMade Chinese Center, send us an email to welcome@tailormadecc.net or sign up for a free trial online on our website: www.tailormadechinese.com
