Heya,

There was an interesting special edition of the Beijinger (or was it Time Out?) last November, on independant Chinese films. Though it all looked a bit like promotional material for the producing company trying to export these films to the US, the articles did mention a bunch of interesting weird flicks -- which I assume might be the visual pendant to all the underground musical agitation around town.

However, I've been finding it excessively difficult to put my hands on any of them: not on Gougou, nor on Taobao, nor at Tom's DVD Shop, nor at the MOMA film library (at least they don't appear in their internet catalog).

I found a forum where some dudes upload these kinda flicks (name in Chinese is 心中的阳光), but it's now closed to new registrations.

Any advice out there?
