Why teach at a school when you can teach at a training center?

The average salary I have seen for kindergartens is 11-13k (In Beijing) and 12-15k for primary and secondary schools. But, for similar hours, you can easily find a training center for 20k.

Training centers usually pay 150-200 for just plain oral English, and the classes are usually smaller and easier to teach in my opinion.

It seems that if you list a good international training center on your resume, in another country, other companies might see that it looks better than some Chinese school they have never heard of.

Most training centers I have been at have academic managers that will help you become a better teacher as well.

What are your thoughts?

Training centers suck, crappy hours, they definitely do not pay 20k per month, maybe there are some here and there but that is not the norm. 10k to 12k is the norm.

With that said if you work the hours of course you can make more, expect to work all day on weekends and weekday evenings.

Since you said similar hours that is where I disagree, I can work just a few hours a day M - F and make over 12k at kindergartens.

It all depends on your skillzzzzzz......you produce then the money will follow. If you are a jackass like weagesdf then you may make some money for a month or two then you wear out your welcome and it is on to yet another job, over and over and over. . .

Haha. Thats better to make 20k for 2 months and look for another for 2 weeks than work at 1 training center for 4 months for the same thing.

But at most kindergartens you still have to be there all day, maybe you have some time to write or watch movies during office hours, but your are still usually in the classroom for 20 hours per week, with 10 being full teaching hours.

200 per hour, 20 hours per week, and not having to stay at the school is 16k per month. Teach a little bit more and 20k is no problem. Plus, all the training centers I have been at don't split class days, they try to have them all grouped together for you.

And, there are more girls to hook up with. Thats always a plus. The ones at kindergartens are all goody goodies and will want you to marry them.
