I am hoping to travel to Hong Kong from about 18 dec to 25 Dec this year from Beijing.

It seems flying is not much more expensive than taking the train, but i do of course want to get the best deal possible! Does anyone have any experience buying plane tix from beijing to HK and have any recommendations as to where to buy from... either online, or from places in beijing?

I also hear prices are cheaper around this time of year (Dec)... is this true?
