Changing a L visa to a Z or possibly F

Hello,

I have a US passport and have a L visa and want to change it to a Z. The place I will work for will help me but this is there first time doing this and I was just wondering if there was anyone out there that could tell me the requirments and an overview of what would need to happen? I have heard lots of rumors.... It will cost the firm 2000 us dollars... I need my original degree from my university or a copy.... I will have to leave the country to get this done....

Just really looking on some clarification... If the Z doesn't work out I was wondering if I could get the F in the way of 180 days instead of the 90 I have now, but worried if I get it and when it expires can I get it again right after?

Thanks for the help,
Jason

Hi there,

Actually if you have an employer with all related documents, changing L visa to a one-yr Residence permit/working visa isnot that expensive at all.

And you donot need to go out of China, you can have it done in Beijing, our company can assist you.

If you have more questions, feel free to let me know.
