Working permit application and local contract starting date

Hi there,

I am experiencing a legal problem related to the beginning date of my contract. Let me explain :

I am a foreigner. My local Chinese contract date is starting from the 5 of September for Two years, in Beijing. The company is German and is a WFOE. However, I am currently in Europe and the company is asking me to work in Germany from the 5 September (which is today) to the 5 of October, which means that I will be signing a local contract but I will not be working in China for One month.

The problem is when I will arrive in China. When I will have to apply for a work permit in October, will the Labor Bureau accept a contract that has already been signed one month ago ?

Yes, it is a tricky one.

Thank you very much to any visa agent able to answer this question.

Re: Working permit application and local contract starting ...

I have one question here, did your employer already start applying for employment licence and working invitation letter for you?

They might prepare those documents for you now and send to you so you can get a Z working visa and enter China。
