Re: Calling all Americans

I agree all Americans should return to America to vote and protest and even riot and get a new no warmongering government into power.
>:D<

Re: Calling all Americans

I'm on board.

Let's burn down the White House, and roast marshmallows and weiners over the smouldering rubble.

(And throw in a few bankers, and d*** Cheney, fer good measure)

Actually we call that "seasoning".

Yeehaw!

Ron Paul isn't about that.... when he wins, he'll be the first president since Kennedy.

Re: Calling all Americans

One thing is clear: voting and protesting don't do squat.

Time to get the guns out!

Haven't they taken those yet?

Heck no my man. The Supreme Court ruled back in June 2010 that the Second Amendment right to bear arms was a personal right, overthrowing most gun control laws.

Me and my friends are organizing a local neighborhood watch.

can only imagine the seasoning bankers would provide would be sh*t-flavoured.

Trust me, it's so danger.

JFK left a great legacy

He was talking about humans, not jazz musicians..

Re: Calling all Americans

I'm more of a Lao Zi fan, but that's neither here nor there.

What we're talking about is roasting politicians organs over an open fire.

Which, after a decade in Chinar, I have no qualms about whatsoever.

I say *smores*.

Gimme SMORES!

Re: Calling all Americans

voting doesn't do squat.

rioting and protests don't do squat.

guns don't do squat.

killing politicians doesn't do squat.

no one politician, however well-intentioned, can come in and change everything. remember jfk? he was shot. by Them.

things need to change from the bottom-up.

more than 50% of marriage partners cheat on their spouses. if you can't trust the person you're married to and spending your life with, why should you be able to trust politicians who are complete strangers unrelated to you?

That's what everyone who's never voted says.

Such as what?

Pulled completely out of your ass, amongst the bouquet of other "facts" you've got lodged firmly up there.

No promises, but I'd be willing to give him a closer look this time around. And the political climate's about as good as it's ever going to get for a 3rd-party candidate in the U.S.

If he can't pull enough support to have a real shot, though, I'd like to see Huntsman get it. Although I'll probably change my mind.

IF 50+ % of marriage partners cheat, then what change exactly should we expect "from the bottom up"
And IF, as you suggest, cheaters are in the majority, then what is wrong with cheating politicians.
And why would people riot? They've already got the politicians they want and deserve.

How "well-intentioned" was JFK anyway? Was he really that different from his predecessors and successors?

I thought it was self-explanatory.

EVERYONE is cheating each other, including marriage partners.

Why the f*** should anyone expect people at the top of the food chain to be upright and honest?

Bottom-up means CHANGE YOURSELF FIRST. Then, and ONLY THEN, will benevolent leaders magically appear.

Any conversation about who to vote for is completely idiotic and useless.

Conversations about ties are more useful because people who put on ties are more likely to be company whores and do anything the company asks you to do. That's another example of bottom-up change. Stop being company whores and then expecting honest leaders.

Yada Yada Yada.

Holy cow, why would you think that?

Because I point out your fallacies, errors of logic and general wrong-ness?

Doesn't everyone? Why are you singling me out?

Maybe you hate my guts! Thinking

Re: Calling all Americans

Pi is really overestimating himself

he's not worthy of hate. Literally beneath contempt.

people don't really tend to hate inanimate objects, such as a toilet bowl, or gravel.

"Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats."

Re: Calling all Americans

I don't hate you, Monkey King.

As a member of the Cult of Otto, you're clearly headed on a Path to Nowhere.

Sure, it seems appealing. You get to act like an 8 year old, they wear funny robes and speak in tongues.

But Otto's a charlatan. He's just trying to get laid.

And I'm just trying to lead you out of the Valley of Darkness.

To the Promised Land.

Will I get you there? Probably not. More than likely, you'll get abandoned in the Valley of Darkness somewhere between sh*t Creek and Hell's Gate and be forced to fend for yourself.

But it's still better than where you are NOW.

What?

Sorry, but whether or not you buy environmentally friendly gas or not doesn't actually put butts in Government. Voting does.

Look forward to working with you.
