Is there a place in Beijing that will mend a hole in a sweater and also a broken zipper? I am also looking for a place that custom tailors women's clothing. Is there somewhere that is reliable and inexpensive?
There are plenty of places where you can get broken zippers fixed with next to nothing, 5yuan say. Just ask locals around and I'm sure you can find one by your doorstep.
There are a couple of good tailors shop in Dong Si area for costomised women's clothing but, as you could imagine, very dear.
You Americans export the consuming culture and now you want to find somewhere to mend a hole in a sweater? Let me know if you manage to find one.
Not all Americans are just consumers. Especially those of us who are female and 5'11 and have a hard time finding clothing that fits both here and back home. I just really like my sweater and my jacket!
Thank you for the advice on Dong Si area...I will check it out.
Come on. Just because the button fell off does not mean that your shirt is finished. It only takes a few minutes to sew a button back onto any garment. Get an easy tutorial from our Guide to Sewing. This is one you'll use for life.
