Z visa health exam in US

I'm planning to apply for a z visa. I have all the necessary materials except the health exam. Do I need to get the exam before i leave the US, or can I get the exam in China? Will my z visa be denied if I do not have the chest x-ray and blood test (they are very expensive)?

When I did it I did the health exam in China which is not very expensive, about 600 Yuan at that time, I think.

If you have time, then you'd better have it done in Beijing, as even if you have it done in U.s., got Z visa, once you are back China, you wil have to go to the hospital again the get it certified.
it costs 650rmb.

Hey, yes , u need do the chest x-ray and blood test, i advice u do it in china, totally cost about 650rmb. if u do it aboard i think it is more expensive .. one of my coustmer . did it in uk, it cost almost 3000rmb.. I have the map of the hospital. if u need it ,plz email me !

Hi all,
I will be moving to China soon too and is in the process of getting my Z Visa, but I'm worried about my application since I have Hepatitis B (past on from my mother). I have submitted my blood test report to my employer and they've forwarded it to the gov't.
After a few days of research online, I know that China has lifted its ban on HIV and Hep B. But I am still concerned since China is a place of no certainties.
Any experienced advice/thoughts? THX!

There are two ways to get working visa:
Solution one: apply for employment licence and Z invitation letter in China , then you go to China Embassy in your country to apply for Z visa and hold it come to China .
Solution two: You can hold L /F visa to come China , change L / F visa to Z visa in China .
If you choose solution 1 , you need do health exam in your country .
If you choose solution 2 , you do health exam in China . the price is about 610rmb for health exam .

I've just been told by my consulate that I must get the check done in Australia yet my employer is tyring to tell me that I can get it done in China...Has anyone has had similar issues?
