Asian women, non-mainland Chinese asian women however. That mentality of theirs is too ingrained. Non-chinese ways are, in their minds, just wrong. And there's no fixing it.

It's like the air they breath, and they can't see otherwise no matter what arguments they are presented with.

I guess if you could get her out of this country for a few years she might come around. But why start from scratch? There are plenty of beautiful women from other Asian countries that haven't undergone the brain-washing of mainland chinese, and aren't as demanding/childish/ignorant/utterly self-centered.

there are roughly 650 million women in china. china is such a diversified country, there are all kinds of living styles co-existing, so if you speak chinese, there is a good chance that you find exactly the type of girlfriend you like.
if you don't speak chinese, the choice will be much more limited.

i married a chinese girl many years ago, she is bossy, independent, physically and mentally strong, probably not very typical chinese. i like her exactly the way she is. its like a male wolf meeting a female wolf, much cuddling and also much biting.

perhaps one advantage of marrying a girl from china: some (definitly not all) of them incorporate the wisdom of 5000 years of chinese culture. even after many years, live with such a woman is still interesting, you will never run out of conversation topics and feel that everyday you can learn something new from her.

Some more good points. Chinese women come off as being women. They wear high heels, skirts, dresses, like to be a lady. Most I would say enjoy men looking at them. American women, well, again from my limited view point, would call you a creep for admiring a sexy women. They don't wear heels often, act like dudes, etc.

And now for the bad. Usually Chinese women are the head of the house. Most dudes I think give their wives the paycheck and then get an allowance. Again, I'm not 100% sure.

Yes their views are limited. But, you have to remember I'm, or we're not going to marry a farmer that I just clubbed over the head. She has to be open to other cultures and or moving back to America.

As for 5000 years of culture, well, that's debatable. I will however concede to the fact that, they are thrift and know how to get by. For instance baijiu on the forehead can help reduce a fever, or something like that. Those things however are mostly learned by being poor, I would imagine.

Chinese women seem to never forget a damn thing. That time you forgot the milk, you'll never forget it. Once they find out that they can do something, they will. For instance American guys do the dishes, or like to cook, well, then you are expected to do as such.

There is also the problem, or more specifically the cultural difference in the area of parents. If her parent's don't agree then your most likely out. So her parent's either have to be dirt poor and have not option but to let her marry you and then have a better life, or they have to be open enough to allow their only daughter and child to marry a foreigner. Then you have to take care of them.

I actually had a buddy who married a Chinese girl. She is pretty open by Chinese standards. Her parents wanted 100,000RMB or about 15,000USD as a dowry. Why? Well, they wanted to buy a house for her little brother. So, I personally don't agree with that, so if that ever happened to me, well, it's going to be a problem. Oh, and my buddy's wife told her parents how it was. So she isn't the most typical of Chinese girls.

Anyway, there are lot's of women out there. Not one of them is the same. But these points are stereotypical for no reason. Just don't date any of them. Because BF/GF means marriage.

That's an easy and difficult question.

The simple answer would be: it doesn't matter to be asian or foreign woman, you'd better be with somebody who you fall in love with, and who you feel comfortable with.

It will be easier to find a local woman since you are in China, and compare with foreign women, Chinese women are softer, and in a better shape. But if it is considered to be a serious relationship, you'd better prepare there would be a tuff period at the first year or 2, most of the culture conflicts will come out (most of them are no right or wrong), both of you have to find a way to compromise (this is not easy, many of the couples end up at this stage). And then you also will face a problem of the location/country where finally you 2 wanna settle down, not all of the Chinese could like to move to another country.

I thought only racist will decide the dates by their race. No that I hint you are one, but just stick to the one you love to spend the time with.

As though Asia is a country, and non-asians are somehow "foreign".

Why don't you just specify "Chinese Women"? Then the "foreign" aspect will make some kind of sense.

Well then, that's quite a perspective you've got. I think most folks can find significant enough linguistic, cultural, religious, racial, whathaveyou differences between Chinese, Afghani, Eastern Russian, Iranian, Khazakstani, Israeli, Indian, Malaysian, Filipina, Pakastani, etc women to not be lumping them all together into a single people. It's the largest and most diverse continent on Earth fer pete's sake!
