D&D Cafe Closed!?

I went to SOHO the other day and saw the D&D Cafe closed with a sign up advertising the space for rent. I called the number in the advertisement and the property broker said they had already broken lease (退租了). As a hobby tabletop RPG gamer, I was pinning all my hopes on this cafe, and now I'm kind of out of leads for gamers to hang. I know that D&D meant what I thought it meant too, cuz I saw the 20-sided die on the cafe logo. Such a pity that it closed.
Anyhow, I'm an American gamer looking to run/play in D&D, Savage Worlds, Eclipse Phase, or other settings, and looking in general for other gaming nerds in Beijing! If anyone has any good ideas for leads or wants to help me form/be a part of my gaming posse, please respond! Right now I'm looking for:
-Places to game (cafes and the like)
-Places to find gaming nerds (maybe somewhere near Haidian, or any other place where foreigners congregate?)
-Places to buy gaming equipment (such as books, battlemats, etc., if any)

unfortunately, D&D bit the dust a while back.
We have a monthly book swap and board games meeting happening on the first saturday of every month at Sequoia Cafe inside Jianguomen diplomatic compound. Quite a few of the gamers there are avid RPG/D&D players.
We're meeting tomorrow, Saturday December 3rd, from 2 to 6 pm

Hmmm, sucks that I have work at that time. Maybe I should try hitting Sequoia Cafe tonight after work (even though it's Sunday already), see if there are any gamers, or any laowai at all there. If anyone else knows any other good places to meet laowai of the gaming persuasion, let me know

I only run old school though... Basic through 2nd Ed.
Also do Runequest, Star Frontiers, Marvel Supes, Gamma World

TL; DR Version: I'm up for playing anything, and running the sessions I described below
I actually met a gamer yesterday, and he walked me through creation of an AD&D character. Cool guy
If I were to run something, it would probably be a custom setting based on the world of Avatar (The Last Airbender) using the Savage Worlds rules (I can transmit the book to anyone that needs it, but mostly it's a fairly simple generalized system that's easier to be taught than standard D&D).
As for playing, I'm up for pretty much anything, though I have to say that the AD&D method for character generation where you have to roll your stats in order kind of rankles me, as I usually like to spend time making my own character/backstory and assigning my own stats after I roll them (so that if I wanted a ranger, I would have the appropriate stats as opposed to if I decided to make a wizard).
I've also become interested lately in running Eclipse Phase, a sci-fi setting with Cthulhu-style elements of horror. This setting is a ruleset and a campaign, and it's more complicated to learn, but if there's anyone interested in the memes of transhumanism and biotech advancements, they might like EP. So yeah, hope we can get some gaming stuff started!

D&D has been closed a long time ago, I know the owner, if you want I can ask him if he knows any other places where they play games........ or if he is still doing it privately, I am not sure, but I can contact him if you like......
Besides this, I also knew a girl who used to run a coffee/bar and at one point she was offering free drinks to English speaking expatriates just to go there and play games.........
I'm not sure if she is still doing it, but if you are interested I can talk to her and find out about it.... but she is not in Haidian though....

- Dan (The former owner of D&D coffee) and Mia, the owner of the coffee/bar that I said where they have games, coffee/beer etc...

Ah shoot, sadly I will not be able to make it this month since the company New Year celebration will be on Jan 7th and its mandatory to go. Drat.
I have a question though. Is there any place to get dice around here? If I want to start gaming again, I will need some.. and some for my players

Hi being a DRPG loving PnP player just in town, will there be a meeting and book swop tomorrow for the likes of me?
Also Im looking for any game group that will let an old player like me have a game fix, Happy to play any thing Pathfinder, Dnd what ever, Traveler, world of darkness CoC ...

Looked a couple times for this place and I have had no luck finding it yet. I know I am in the right area since I can see all the embassies, yet no luck finding the Sequoia Cafe.
That's too bad, i am looking for playtesters for a tabletop RPG.

Okay, well the gaming meetup is tomorrow ( at least it should be), and once again I am going to try and find this elusive Sequoia bakery!
