Hi, I'm a european who's moving to Beijing. I've been visiting several times and always stay around the Jianguomen area, therefore, it's the area I know best.

Now I have some questions for you who knows the city

I'm having a job interview that's located near Wangjing west, is that far from "the center" of the city? I'm looking at a subway map right now but it's hard for me to understand the distances.

I have found an apartment I really like between Sanyuanqiao and Liufang. What do you think about the area? Is it a good area if you also want to have some fun (go to the clubs in Sanlitun, etc.)

Or would you suggest me looking for an apartment somewhere else? Where?

I don't care if it's too far from my work as long as I easily can go there by subway. I just want to live in a nice area, where it's close to good nightlife, shopping, resturants etc, and not too far from "the center" of the city.

What would you suggest for me? Hope you can help! Thanks
