i just know spring festival is coming when anyone around me says "spring festival is coming".

If can do one thing, would be great.

Re: chinese newyear.

The noisy fireworks? Gosh they never stop during the entire Spring Festival.(Earplugs In Demand!)
But they may cease a little 10 days after the festival begins. And the 15th day of the Spring Festival should be the end of the New Year period, and the last fireworks extravaganza of the New Year.=)
Enjoy!

Re: chinese newyear.

To Chinese, the Spring Festival begins at December 8th of the lunar calendar. Because there is a saying goes that “Guo le la ba jiu shi nian”,,which means:the laba Rice Porridge Festival is followed by the Spring Festival.
