Is there an Air Canada ticketing office in BJ or an agent? Online prices seem unrealistic. Where does one go to get tickets BJ to YVR at a fair price (roundtrip should be about $1000 CAD)

Also, apart from Air Canada, another option you may want to consider is Hainan Airlines as I am sure it offers nonstop flights between Beijing and Toronto though you may have to find a dirt-cheap connecting flight.
As it's reported at http://www.wcarn.com/list/14/14704.html Hainan Airlines is arguably one of the best carriers in China despite the fact that I have personally had mixed experiences with them in the past.
If you've never tried it, Hipmunk is worth a shot. Make sure you are sorting by "agony," as that will usually get you the best rates. And it's funny. I'm not sure when you're leaving, but I found a couple flights around 1,000 CAD. Good luck, regford.
