Invitation Letter Validity - Z Visa

Hi,

Does the official government issued invitation letter for a Z visa have a validity period?

My letter was issued on the 29/12/2011, and I returned to China on the 4/1/2012, I'd like to go to HK next month to obtain a Z visa but I have heard that the invitation letter may be invalid by then, is that true?

Thanks

Re: Invitation Letter Validity - Z Visa

If you are employed by a company registered in China, you need to have 2 documents to apply for the Z visa in HK or other countries. They are China work license and Z visa invitation letter.

The work license is valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
And only after you get the work license can you apply for the Z visa invitation letter. There is no valid period mentioned on the invitation letter. Since you need to use the 2 documents, instead of 1, you have to apply for the Z visa within 6 months from the date of work license issue.
