Chinese Pickles

WTF the nongs can't even make decent pickles? Why can't I find a decent jar of pickles here that don't make my a$$ reach pucker factor 9.9? Beer sucks, alcohol sucks..but f-ing pickles??

Damn I'm hot. I'm on fire!

Re: Chinese Pickles

Rolling Eyes Refrigerator Pickles:

They are dirt cheap, delectable, and soooo easy to make.

In a tupperware container mix water/salt/vinegar(white). Any ratio that's to ur liking.

Fresh dill is available at many chinese farmers markets.

Also can add crushed garlic, peppercorns, chilies, sugar, whatever.

Cut up cukes and place in solution.

Refrigerate. Best to wait a day or more, but you know... Drooling

I think they make them in some weak acid with few to no herbs and some weird sweetener. They taste like soggy bland green turds. Don't even bother.

Either shell out 60+ kuai for a jar of Vlassics at JL/AG, or go with my recipe above.

Pickling food, as a method of preservation, is an old tradition in China. After harvest, vegetables that weren't eaten immediately were salted and pickled to ensure a good supply throughout the following year.

Old tradition you say? So why do they continue to eff things up after so many years?

This time can be utilized for other important academic or co-curricular activities. However many students unfortunately are not aware of any second option other than forcing themselves to do this daunting work. http://ecreditcardcalculator.com
