Gulou or Zhongguancun for PlayStation 3 games?

Hello,

I have recently arrived in beijing and i find it difficult to navigate, so, if anyone could share their knowledge as travellers or citizens, i would very much appreciate that. I understand from reading forums that gulou and zhongguancun are not bad for video games. I am looking for ENGLISH language, LEGIT games at the most competitive prices, so, i was wondering which if these 2 places or any others has the best prices. Also some further advice when purchasing- what to be wary of, whether or not i can bargain/haggle, etc..

Oh yeah and it is important that i know the street address of exactly where these groups o fshops are.

taobao(淘宝, China counterpart of eBay) should be your first choice to get video games.

At least you could check out prices, then head to Gulou or Zhongguanc**to bargain.

But games, consoles, accessories and etc in brick&motar shops are usually a little bit(around 10%) expensive than that in online stores.

So for example, Metal Gear Solid HD collection is 275 yuan on taobao, so when i go to the shops, i should ask for no more than 275 + 27.5 = 302.5 yuan?

Btw what is the exact address of these shops?

My PS3 games shop of choice is the electronics market at Maizidian. It's simply called 258 Electronics Market. Real games range from 100 to 300 in price, and they often get the latest games in.

Thanks for the advice. I‘ve just discovered that gulou and maizidian are a bit far away, so it‘ll be zhong guan cun i suppose. Anyone know the exact address of where i should go + if they have a favourite shop within that area they would like to share their knowledge of?

Well i went there and bargained the mgs game for 300 yuan, which was alright.
Generally when i purchase games online, i use gamesearchuk.com to find the cheapest prices on some games. Generally these are cheaper than on play-asia.com

However, when i was in hong kong the other day, i found many cheap prices, e.g. mgs to be 240 hkd, cheaper than on any website i know of. It has been established in this thread that online, games tend to be a bit cheaper. What websites, then, would you strongly recommend to get the best prices?
