I just bought my first smart phone; and HTC G14. What are the best android apps for China that I would not find in a normal android top 10 Google search?
Language: dictionary and translation. I heard that one app can translate a Chinese menu to English
Maps: Best apps that can use the phones GPS to tell me how to find a shop, restaurant, hostel, ect. in different cities in China, (hopefully that can help me from getting lost say on a motorcycle trip in Guangxi).
Any other China specific apps that I wouldn't normally come across in a Google search.

You should try out trainchinese for the android. It has a free offline dictionary and flash cards for practicing your chinese.

Pleco is free on Android, a must have.
You pay for extra features, including the ability to translate characters from photos if I remember correctly, very cool if it works.
Without all that though it's still the best offline dictionary/translation tool I've used.
