Quote:
The series follows Carrie Mathison, a CIA operations officer who, after conducting an unauthorized operation in Iraq, is put on probation and reassigned to the CIA's counterterrorism center in Langley, Virginia.
In Iraq, Carrie was warned by an asset that an American prisoner of war had been turned by Al-Qaeda.
Carrie's job grows complicated when her boss, Director of the Counterterrorism Center David Estes, calls Carrie and her colleagues in for an emergency briefing.
Carrie learns that Nicholas Brody, a U.S. Marine Sergeant who had been reported as missing in action since 2003, has been rescued during a Delta Force raid on a compound belonging to terrorist Abu Nazir.
Carrie comes to believe that Brody is the American prisoner of war that her asset in Iraq was talking about.
However, the federal government and her superiors at the CIA consider Nicholas Brody a war hero.
Realizing it would be next to impossible to convince her boss to place Brody under surveillance, Carrie approaches the only other person she can trust, Saul Berenson.
The two must now work together to investigate Brody and prevent another terrorist attack on American soil.
i wish i can find the original israeli show and watch that one too.

Re: Homeland
@The Lizard King,
I have watched the first and second episoes of its season 1. I was sorry for what Nicholas Brody had suffered within the first two episodes. It was so cruel. I can not continue it, because I am not tough enough to watch more.
Comfortable.

Re: Damian Lewis
@The Lizard King,
Damian Lewis did a good job when he starred in Homeland.
Nicholas Brody's soul had been destroyed within the first two episodes. It seemed that there was no hope for him any longer.
Comfortable.

Re: Homeland
renee, keep watching it.
you might change your mind about him.
you might.
you might not.
it's worth watching to the end.

Re: Homeland
@The Lizard King,
By the way, do you enjoy films directed by Alfred Hitchcock(13 August 1899 – 29 April 1980)?
Comfortable.

Re: Homeland
I've been watching the UK version of Shameless for years, it is quite engrossing and hilarious at times but has gone off the boil a bit in the last few seasons.
I have never watched the new US version but if it is like the UK version, it is definitely worth a watch chaofan.

Re: Homeland
Just finished the 5th episode of the U.S. version of Shameless. I have to say it is great! Different from anything I have ever watched, very interesting take on life. It is like a R-rated Brady Bunch but without the mother and the father is a drunk!
Check it out if you are looking for a new show. Season 1 is finished and season 2 is well under way so there are many episodes out there already.

Re: Homeland
I'm downloading the first few Homeland episodes now, TLK's recs haven't failed me yet.
Anyone checked out "Luck" from HBO yet? Same guy who produced and wrote "Deadwood", about the horse racing industry.

Re: Homeland
Homeland is good and has many twists and turns, you will like it. I loved Deadwood, might have to check Luck out.
Homeland reminds me a lot of that old Showtime show "Sleeper Cell", that type of show, so if you liked Homeland you should check out Sleeper Cell, I think it is even a little better.
