Bank account limit for student

I know foreigners have somewhate different rules applied to them. so i have always had this question and hope someone can help?..Is there a limit on how much money you can have in your bank account. now when i say limit i mean a figure that the bank will find strange and probably investigate? Can anyone help?

I have some spare ones lying around if you need a place to store anything over the 10 thousand mark..

As a general rule I would say banks like to have your money deposited in their banks. I am sure it would take a lot of RMB for anyone to raise an eyebrow if anyone would at all.

I have a couple of accounts at different banks, something you should consider if you are worrying about how much you have deposited in one bank. It is common to have two or more different bank cards in your wallet here in China for both locals and foreigners.

thanks alot. i have done that. i have a few myself. one reason i asked is that one time someone told me they had 80,000 in one account and the bank called him and asked him how did he get all that money if he was a student.
