VIVA MEXICO!

HARSH YOU SAY??

1. There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools, no special ballots for elections, and all government business will be conducted in our language.

2. Foreigners will NOT have the right to vote, no matter how long they are here.

3. Foreigners will NEVER be able to hold political office.

4. Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, nor any other government assistance programs.

5. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.

6. If foreigners do come and want to buy land that will be okay, BUT options will be restricted. You are not allowed to own waterfront property. That property is reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.

7. Foreigners may not protest; no demonstrations, no waving a foreign flag, no political organizing, no "bad-mouthing" our president or his policies. If you do you will be sent home.

8. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be hunted down and sent straight to jail.

Harsh, you say ?...

The above laws happen to be the immigration laws of MEXICO.

Re: VIVA MEXICO!

javajoe.

Get your name on the presidential ballot in November and I will vote for you!! America would be a much better place with policies like Mexico has related to immigration.

I am a pure blooded American and I am totally disgusted by the leadership in America, as well as the potential leaders in the current pool of candidates. All of our politicians are corrupt and self serving to the core. American politicians are a group of rich men that are bored with their millions or billions of dollars, so they wake up one morning and decide to try politics to give their egos a rush.

The sad thing about the current American political situation is that, even if some politician wants to implement a meaningful policy that will help bring America back to greatness, they are blocked at every turn by their colleagues. American politicians are destroying America and there is nothing that we (the normal, working American) can do to stop it.

Some might say, "Vote!" Some would say that voting is the solution. They would tell you that if we get the right people in office, then everything will be fine. I used to buy into that ridiculous notion. I will be the first to admit that our voting system is the best in the world. However, voting is no longer effective because every candidate is corrupt and self serving. As I pointed out, even if by chance, one of these politicians decided to try and make a meaningful change for the better, he would be blocked at every turn. I used to vote, but now I would not waste a single yuan or a single minute of my time voting. Voting in the current American political situation a complete waste of time and energy.

My idea for a solution is radical, but it might be the only hope America has. I say we turn to communism, particularly China's form of communism. I have been living in China for some time now and I see that China's form of government works much better than the current government in America. Sure, the Chinese government has their faults, but their government is doing a good job with the over all management of their country from what I can see.

Wake up America!! You are being taken over by the Mexicans and every other criminal that decides to call America home.

Moving to China and moving out of America was one of the best decisions I have ever made. My only regret is that I wish I would have done it sooner.

Here he is again, such a useful stare.... perhaps you can explain Chinese communism to us all. Then explain implementation and the finished product's relation to initial ideology.

Have you ever stepped outside a tier 1 city or even outside the 5 ring road in Beijing?

Have you ever thought the life you live in China is far more privileged than the average Chinese due to the fact you are a white English speaking American?

I always find it incredibly hilarious that people like you talk, completely without irony, about how the US or UK has been ruined by immigrants who don't bother to learn the language. Umm.. hello?

If China was half as strict as the US with immigration or employment qualifications or if it was impossible to get by without speaking good Chinese, you wouldn't be here boy-o. You are here because you are western. And that isn't a privilege that will last forever.

Re: VIVA MEXICO!

I knew I would get some strong reaction to such a radical suggestion. By Chinese communism I mean strong totalitarian rule coupled with just enough compromise to give everyone the illusion that they still have freedom. I will leave the implementation to the professionals...whomever they may be...hehe.

Actually, I have spent a lot of time outside tier 1 cities. I must admit however, that xiaomaomao made a good point. English speaking Americans do live a privileged life in China. I love this place!!

At the same time, I would say that there is a significant difference between expatriates in China and expatriates ( I am speaking mainly about Mexicans/Latinos) in America. Expatriates in America are sucking the life out of America because generally speaking, the expatriates in America are uneducated, free loaders that take, take, take, and then give nothing back.

Whereas, expatriates in China are highly educated most of the time and make and generally make a positive contribution to Chinese society. To say it another way. China makes money by our presence here while America looses money by the presence of its expatriates.

If you read the list that was posted by javajoe closely, you will see that, other than the language policy, China has most of these policies or at least a form of each particular policy. As far as the language policy goes, I would welcome such a policy in China. I do know some Chinese and I am learning Chinese voluntarily, which is a lot more than I can say for the Mexicans/Latinos in America. I do this out of respect for China and I do not expect the Chinese to cater to my lack of Chinese speaking ability. I see learning Chinese as my responsibility if I am going to continue to live in China.

The point I was trying to make with my first post was to point out a glaring problem with the American government system. We are going down the tubes! We are becoming the laughing stock of the world. We have the greatest governmental system in the world, but the system has been slowly crippled to the point of being beyond repair by self serving, corrupt politicians over the last century.

What can we do? Well, sadly, it looks like we can do nothing to stop it. So, why not try something radical. Even if it does not work, it cannot get much worse, can it?

Re: VIVA MEXICO!

you're a stupid dork. look at you. look at the stupid sh*t you wrote.

Harsh.. no.
A country has the right to determine its laws.

What I am amazed about is the U.S. puts up the the crap from Mexico and Hispanic "immigration advocates" about being "harsh" and "unfeeling" about the 10 million or so Mexicans in the U.S. illegally when Mexico happily f**ks - politically, legally and economically - any illegal it finds on its soil.

Now, are you trying to make a point about China?

China isn't communist. It's state-sponsored capitalism. A capitalist dictatorship. China started becoming wealthy when it abandoned it's communist politics and switched to free market capitalism. It adopted an open economy (something not typically associated with communism) based on lowered currency rates and wages, which meant it could undercut many other countries in manufacturing.

It's seen massive growth because of this. Expect North Korea to see similar growth levels when it follows China's lead and adopts an open economy. The living standard of the average Chinese person is very low compared to the US, Japan and Europe. You do not live like a typical Chinese person. If you did, you wouldn't be here. China is currently catching up with the world, and it has every right to do so. It will need a massive GDP for the majority to be able to live it up like you currently do.

So the biggest test for China lies straight ahead - transforming into a country where the majority are middle class. To do that, it needs to stop being a factory and become an innovator. I'm currently working in an industry that is slowly making me less and less confident about China's ability to innovate. I believe that merely giving people the illusion that they have some kind of freedom isn't enough. It has a downside for sure. It inhibits creativity and all the boundary pushing, rule breaking, status quo ignoring that is necessary for innovation. Maybe I'm wrong, but surely you can't put people in a box and then expect them to be able to think outside it.

Also, as a Brit, I get annoyed with British people who get all self-defeatest about the UK. They believe 'it's over' just because for the first time in generations, we might actually have to work a little harder and not live on credit cards. We're not always going to be at the top of the pile by default. Stop yer f-ing whining. Same goes for Americans who act the same way.

I'm imagining you've not been here that long. I advise you to give it a few years of in depth thought before deciding you definitely want to return to the US as a guerrilla communist.

Yeah, I forgot, it's a race to the bottom. All of our actions should be determined on a sliding scale and compared to the dreggs of planet earth. I heard in Afghanistan militant muslims have thrown acid in the eyes of little girls who want to learn to read, so girls in the US who can't join the handball team should feel lucky.

f***, it's so funny to see all these so called "libertarians" espouse the virtures of an authoritarian nation like China, further proving how f-ing retarded they all are.
