A sweaty crowd of well over 700 packed into Mako Live House last night to celebrate the best of Beijing’s Bar & Club scene at the Beijinger’s 7th Annual Reader Bar and Club Awards. Miss Laowai contestants took the stage to present the awards to the winners.
Dancers from Club Chocolate (which won the "Sexiest Staff" award), beats from the Syndicate, rhythms from the Afrokokoroots drum troupe and belly dancing from Pussycat Dance kept the evening lively between awards. The night was emceed by Cheeky Monkey Theatre’s Elyse Ribbons and Ian Ronalds from Chopshticks Comedy.

Guests enjoyed free Stella Artois, Hoegaarden and Lindermans beer from Vandergeeten, Frieixenet sparkling white wine and San Pellegrino and Acaua Panna water from ASC Fine Wines, cocktails from Becherovka, Grand Marnier and Spirit It, coffee from Capitano Coffee and finger food from Tommy Guns Burritos, Haru Teppanyaki and Sushi Bar and Texas Tamale Junkie, while nibbling on candies from Bonbon Bins. Goodie bags and prizes were also sponsored Eric Paris, Xinglong Karting Club, Oriental Taipan and China Odyssey Tours.

A total of 49 bars received accolades, with multiple winners Fubar (8 awards), Paddy O'Shea's (7), Xiu (6) and Q Bar (6) walking away with the most.
